It has been suggested that if one types words into this box everyone else with a device may have the ability to read and reply. Is this correct? Please forgive me if this is a blatantly obvious question, all of this wonderful future technology is very new to me.

An unfortunate fellow lost it to me in a wager.

You were outlawed in the time you came from and not here, right? Time has a way of fixing some things, though perhaps very slowly.

Now I'm curious as to what you wagered that would meet the cost of a train.

No, most get a fresh start here. A chance at happiness. But I have also noticed few men are shocked at my boldness.

Technically nothing. Evie and I were looking to take territory away from him so we decided to fight for it, he wagered his train on the fight with no prompting from either of us.

That is good to hear. And as for shocked men, well, a lot of them have very delicate sensibilities, that is the reason why I used to carry smelling salts on me.

Hah. Remind me to get on your team, or never go against you if there is any sort of betting going on.

That is kind of you. Or was if you no longer carry them.

It would be the smart move. I've never recommended betting against me.

My twin sister was too prone to use them on me on the odd occasions I would be knocked insensible, so I stopped in order to save myself the discomfort. I will say though, it is wonderfully cathartic to slap a man who becomes hysterical over the sight of a woman in trousers.

And honest too. Most gamblers would encourage me to lose my silver.

I have never fainted, or been knocked cold, so I don't know the discomfort of smelling salts. But I think I would much rather be slapped, if it's that uncomfortable.

I can't say I know that sort of catharsis. It is very unfortunate.

I can't claim to be overly concerned about coin. I have enough. What I like is winning, and the crowd cheering, which feels more worthwhile to me.

It's unpleasant, like the inside of your nose is burning. I don't recommend it. And as for slapping an antiquated and small-minded man, perhaps you will get the chance one day, though I should hope you don't have to deal with that sort of thing here.

Ah, I am definitely familiar with that mentality.

I don't, even the fellows from times before this one seem quite amiable. And don't mind me wearing trousers.

I'm not saying I need my pride consistently fed, simply that it does feel nice from time to time.

That is excellent news.

A little stroke to the ego every now and then didn't hurt anyone.

That doesn't make it feel any less taboo though.

It wouldn't be nearly as fun if it were less taboo, or so I would think.

Well, if it were done just for the sake of being taboo, men would wear skirts more often. Besides the Scots.

There might be a few London clubs that agreed with you. I can't say I ever fancied wearing one, which may be for the best.

There is a certain level of grace and propriety one has to have when wearing skirts that I have never been able to acquire.

Oh if that were true it would be made absolutely against all laws for certain women to wear them.

That might cause me to burst into flames. I simply haven't noticed very many women not behaving properly when wearing them. My sister always hated skirts but when she wore them she wore them well.

Well, then, I will be sure to be absolutely proper if I'm wearing a dress, and we ever meet. Just to keep from soiling your view of skirts.

You must be sick to death of charming gentlemen, something tells me they tend to flock to that spirit of yours.
