It has been suggested that if one types words into this box everyone else with a device may have the ability to read and reply. Is this correct? Please forgive me if this is a blatantly obvious question, all of this wonderful future technology is very new to me.

1874. We were still using telegraphs, though according to a very nice young lady met yesterday, I won't have to be waiting too much longer for telephones to be introduced.

I would say you're a good deal more advanced than I was when I first arrived. We had pigeons, but that was just being introduced by the Saracens.

Right, the telephone, I've heard it mentioned a few times since I arrived here. An acquaintance of mine was supposedly developing something like a telephone when I last saw him.

We got our hands on a Hansen Writing Ball a couple years ago, I've had some practice typing but this device seems very different. More practice? I'm certain it may just take time.

It was a machine for setting words to paper, the letters and numbers were arranged in a shape like a half ball or dome. That is what I have been told, yes though I have yet to try any games.

It is correct. You can also type a message and send it to one specific person, or a group of people. You can also talk to people or send pictures to them. It's really great!
