Dear Morgan Freeman,

I like you. I do. I think you're awesome and I stick up for you. I even don't steal too many things from the library because it's your stuff and I don't want to steal from you.

But turning stuff into gold only when I'm touching it? That's just MEAN and now I'm mad at you. And payback is never cheap.

You've been warned. So have your plucky knights.

♥ Parker

...I have this sudden urge to start calling you Queen Parker Midas.

Or something like that.

But I think I'll refrain.

Good. Because if you did, I'd have to call you the Easter Ruby Bunny. And that would just be weird.

Maybe if you hug it really tight for a really long time, it'll rub off.

I tried that. I even tried poking people, but it always wears off again. :(

Well, that's just no good. How in the world are you supposed to pawn stuff for cash if the gold vanishes the second you hand it over?

EXACTLY!

Is there a delay? Do you think you could convince the pawn broker to pay you first and then take the item? You run fast.

Nope. No delay. And pawn brokers make you put down the item so they can look at it while you sign papers and stuff. I know. I already tried. Twice.

Stupid untrusting pawn brokers ruining a good scam.

Well. I know you don't like me cheating. But I could always compel them not to make you put it down until you've got money in hand?

Thanks but no. No cheating. It's wrong.

At least you don't have flowers growing on everything you touch.

Yep! This place is great! There's really cool people here and the knights that guard the books in the library are lots of fun and, best of all, there's always something to keep you busy. Sure it can suck sometimes but so can things back home, so that's no biggie, really.

He's not answering, is he?

I can change the channel, and navigate web pages with my mind.

The bad thing is...

It happens every time I blink.

Do you know how many times

I had to retype this message

before I managed to do it without blinking?

I lost count.

No, he's not. But that's ok. He doesn't always answer. I know he read it though, so he got the memo.

... ok, I take it back. My power isn't great but yours sucks.

It should be over soon though. I hope. Maybe. Most likely.

Don't worry about work. I'll talk to Crowley. Just try to... I don't know. Practice not blinking for extended periods of time. Oh! Or read. You can read, right? Actual books, I mean. Because I have lots of those. They're all about people here in the city but you can still borrow them. Just don't take them back into the library. The guards will squish you, if you do.

Actual books, yes. Kindle, no.
