You know, it isn't that I mind this place all that terribly much. I don't. But I'm getting a bit tired of the back and forth even if it is being spaced further apart. Though I do appreciate the break in lesson planning for however long this time around lasts. I kept saying I needed a vacation and I suppose this is good as any other.

Right. Now that that's finished, who's still about?

As well as can be expected. I've recently inherited a pet dragon after Uncle Charlie was sent back so that is a new experience.

A dragon, eh? I'd ask how that's possible but if anyone was going to wind up with a dragon in this place, it'd certainly be Uncle Charlie.

Christmas in July is how it happened.

Bessie is an Antipodean Opaleye. She's taken to sleeping in my bed the last couple of nights.
