You know, it isn't that I mind this place all that terribly much. I don't. But I'm getting a bit tired of the back and forth even if it is being spaced further apart. Though I do appreciate the break in lesson planning for however long this time around lasts. I kept saying I needed a vacation and I suppose this is good as any other.

Right. Now that that's finished, who's still about?

Let me guess. The sudden increase in arrivals happens to coincide with a rather large group leaving en masse as well, yeah?

Ah. One around long enough to recognize the patterns. You would be perfectly correct in that matter. I do suppose cleaning house and keeping it fresh are some of the hallmarks of maintaining a happy human collection.

Hard to say. I'll have to ask Charles about that one.

Can't say I've ever put much thought into the hallmarks of maintaining a happy human collection but I do have a bit of an eye for patterns. Particularly when the majority of the time, in this place, they involve a good chunk of my family.

And I can't say I know any Charles either but something tells me you rather already knew as much.

Charles is the one who will likely spot you mentioning lesson plays and swoop in in an effort to poach you for his education reform plans.

And I do hope that the patterns work out the best for you. Especially if it's concerning your family. I know I likely wouldn't know what to do with myself here without a stable support network.

And since I've apparently forgotten the most simple matter necessary in meeting someone new, Erik Lehnsherr. It's a pleasure.

Unless Charles has a need for History of Magic in those plans, I'm afraid I can't be of much use to him in that regard.

Well, so far my sister is here. I'd imagine my brother isn't as it's been five minutes and I've yet to be insulted, but I'm sure he'll be back along before we know it.

Nice to meet you, Erik. I'm Al Potter.

Well. I wouldn't think that would be entirely out of the question. History always has plenty of lessons to teach, no matter what type of history it is.

Except most Muggles tend to not particularly care about the subject of magic, particularly the sort from my reality.

Sounds rather fascinating, if you ask me.

That would be me. Charles Xavier. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I would apologise for Erik, but he really is inexcusable.

Hello Charles Xavier. I'm Al Potter. Nice to meet you as well.

And there's no need for apologies, particularly on the part of someone else. I promise, with a brother like mine, I learned a long time ago how to hold my own.

Please, Al, just call me Charles.

I must admit that the majority of my students are not magical in nature, but if you would like I would be more than happy to work with you.

If you insist, Charles.

I suppose we can always meet to discuss it? There's never any harm in seeing if a common ground can be reached, at any rate.

I do insist.

Wonderful. That sounds like an excellent idea.

I don't know. I manage to go whole days without insulting anyone. I'd say that counts.

It isn't as though I do it on purpose. Not most of the time.
