Codex OOC

I've mentioned this to people here & there and on my CDJ, but making it official to the group -- I'm hopping to the airport straight from work tomorrow and will be on vacation in the Pacific Northwest until April 4th, thus slowatusy! I'll have my phone/laptop with me and tbh I expect I'll have a few chill days where I just wanna roll around and write, so I'll probably still be tagging & hitting people up for logs -- but my schedule will be unpredictable, so putting up this warning just in case ♥

Well, since I'm stealing the mods away to Iceland next week, and I'll be busy with my mother's birthday shenanigans tomorrow, I figure I'll throw up my hiatus notice now! (I'm still around tonight though~)

Like Maaya and Sherri, I will be out of the country with very limited if any access to the Internet from December 11-15. I'll try to poke on the boards at least once a day but no promises, so don't be alarmed if you see any of my kids commenting on the network or if you suddenly see a surprise tag from me during this time period. ;)

What my kiddos are up to while I'm gone:

Midha is basically Cas's keeper right now. Otherwise, she's doing her usual thang of Wardening and drinking. (The drinking will probably be including Cas, lbr.)

Sorin is also doing his usual thing: working, studying Tevene in secret with Takwana, sparring with Lev whenever possible because of his new arm, etc.

Alia will be penned up in the ducal palace mourning, processing wtf just happened, and trying not to lose her shit overall. She is taking her responsibilities as the new heir seriously, but since she never emotionally prepared for it, she's really kind of like this. As the week goes on, she'll be more and more likely to be found taking out her stress on poor defenseless training dummies.

So this is a preemptive note that your mods will be heading off to Iceland and generally unavailable next week, with a return to normalcy Friday-ish. That means we'll be hard if not impossible to reach December 11-15. Don't burn the game down while we're gone, okay???

For my kids:
Noëlle will be going to Orlais on a lead to her father's murderer dun dun dun!
Raziya is sailing the ship that takes Noe to Orlais, so she'll be gone, too...
Cas is working, and when he's not working he's drinking. A lot. He's not okay, guys.
Lev is around... idk being grumpy?

So, I've been pretty sparse lately, and I probably SHOULD have hiatused, because I know fall (particularly October and November) is always pretty busy for me. BUT I DIDN'T.

So, IC, Rook was missing for much of Firstfall/November. It's not uncommon for her to disappear for several days at a time without a word and then show back up out of the blue, because she's a stray cat, but this would be the longest disappearance to date.

OOC, I think I let some things fall by the wayside. If you'd like to pick them up, or plot all new things, hit me up! =D

I think most of you are on my CDJ so you know that I've gone through some bad stuff the past month or two. I'm about to switch my meds to a higher dose, and I'm concerned that this is going to effect my mind and ability to think until my brain gets settled again. Just to be safe I'm going to go on hiatus until I know for sure if I'm going to react well or if I'm going to have trouble. I will reply when I can and to the log I'm doing, but I might be MIA while I adjust to the meds. Wish me luck.

I'm sorry I just kinda vanished there for a while, y'all! I've had bronchitis for a week now and I haven't done anything but marathon netflix and take naps with my dog. You'd think (I definitely thought, anyway) that staying home from work for a week, I'd have gotten ALL THE RP DONE but I didn't feel like doing aaaaanything that required brainpower. I'm starting to try to get caught up with all my rp stuff now, but if anything needs my attention, feel free to point me in that direction.

Hey guys! I'm really sorry about this, but I'm going to have to go on hiatus for the rest of the month. I was recently hired to teach second grade full time, and I've realized that, oh dear god, I need to spend every waking moment planning ahead/prepping for lessons if I want to stay on top of things. Hopefully, I'll have a better work/life balance by the end of September. See you soon!

Hi everyone!

So I work at a college! Orientation is this coming week, the students return the following week, and we're all basically a mess of chaos until everyone's settled in for the new semester. I have about 1000000000x things to do. So this is kind of a vague hiatus-y notice, I'm going to continue tagging the things I have going and get activity done, but not taking any new stuff on until I'm past the chaos.

Summary of my chars during this unrest: Luren is avoiding everything and numb, so he's quiet regardless and just doing his work. Not getting involved. Ashi will continue to be concerned about everything but watch from afar. Vathra's amused and probably enjoys the fighting.

Due to RL issues, I have to step out of the game as not to be a burden to it and all of you wonderful players. i will be finishing whatever scenes I have currently in the words or almost done.
