This has been a very strange day. I did not realize how much I used magic until this happened. Nor how weird magic classes would be sans magic. In fact, I kind of miss magic. Not that I can't muggle my way out of any crazy shenanigans situation, but that's supposed to be outside of school.

I thank this world that I am adorable enough to survive and also I'm building a snowman tomorrow. So if anyone's with me, you should totally make yourself known.

Nevermind, Mariko is more responsible than I am. Even on the weekends. At least with sleep.

I'm torn between "This is annoying" and "Oh, look! More reasons to sit around and generally do nothing."

I mean, can I really complain about something that means I can't do all the practical stuff? Not that Herbology always needs something to keep it all moving, but I could do that homework with my eyes partially closed, but not really because it'd turn into a mess if I did that, wouldn't it? Barely legible as it is. I doubt I'd need the help.

Unlike many, I did not immediately notice the problems in the castle, but then, I spent much of yesterday translating ancient Greek when I was not assisting in class. It seems potions that were brewed prior to yesterday still work. Still, I am glad to have some knowledge of herbology and uses of plants beyond their magical properties. However yarrow and golden rod are not nearly as effective as a coagulation spell.

I am far less confident without magic than I would publicize. I had a bloody nose this morning that would normally not be a big deal in the grand scheme of my condition but required stuffing my entire nostril for some minutes before the bleeding slowed, and I still taste blood in the back of my mouth an hour later.

If a snake comes to you, follow him. He is mine and should something happen to me in this dampened magical field, I will tell him, and he will lead you to me.

Hello Staff and Students,

As all of you have notice we are unable to do magic. Please don't worry as this was a mere accident and not an attack. We have our best working on the issue and we are hoping everything will return to normal soon. So please stay calm and think of this as a teaching moment: what would you do if you are unable to do magic anymore?

One last thing. There is a new rule being put into place. Muggle technology or experimenting with it are forbidden on school grounds.

The curious students who caused this issue have come forward and I will be over seeing their punishment. Miss Famakinwa and Mr Boothroyd have been told what has happened and are currently working on a solution. Keep up the great work and lets keep the students calm.
