As the Mardi Gras celebrations continued, storm clouds began to gather. Darkness came earlier than usual, even for the winter months, and rumblings of thunder began to be heard. It was Carnival, though, and the masses would not be turned away, especially on the last day before Lent.

The rumblings grew louder, the sky flashing with lightning. The wind off the water picked up, waves crashing in the canals. Shouts arose, shrieks filling the air as water spouts were spotted. The wind grew stronger still, sending tents and people flying.

A twister has picked up the Carnaval. But instead of Oz, your people will find themselves on Mount Olympus, expected to perform for the Gods themselves. Be careful, though. They have high expectations. Rewards can be great, punishments greater still.
