I kinda definitely got abducted by aliens when I was a kid. Peter's not so common off of Earth. Nice to meet you too!

Man, being grounded sucks. My adopted dad Yondu used to try to ground me a lot. He'd threaten to eat me, too.

So you're from space? As in outer space? That is so cool. What's it like? I'm guessing we're not alone because otherwise you'd have gone crazy with loneliness and you wouldn't have been able to be abducted. What're the aliens like? How many are there? What do they look like?

I know, Aunt May grounded me when she found out that I am Spiderman skipped out on detention. She's... never threatened to eat me though. Why would he say that? Are humans an alien delicacy?

Well, I'm from here, but I lived in space way longer than I lived on Earth. We're definitely not alone. There are all kinds of galaxies and worlds out there with populations of different species and classifications of creatures.

Dude, if somehow my spaceship ever makes it here I'll take you out there sometime. Peters gotta stick together. Hopefully by then you'll be un-grounded.

I dunno why he would say that. Probably because he knew I believed it and could get me to do what he initially asked me to do like seventeen times before he had to resort to that.

That is so awesome. I only saw the Chitauri when they came down and destroyed bits of New York. But I've never met anyone else who's been in space. That's so cool.

Okay, so my friends and Aunt May in that other timeline are safe. That's all I wanted to know. Will they know what's happening here or are we totally separate from them because we're in the secondary timeline?

It isn't a good idea. I've checked in on it, and refrained from contacting my other self. The last thing he needs is to know our problems. We are on our own.

So they aren't aware and as time moves forward and this branch widens, we will be more our own. Each of us has been in this timeline since I broke it. You only realized it when you were affected because the universe (or fate or destiny or whatever quirk of quantum physics) decided to choose you like it chose the rest of us. I'm not sure why. But considering that we seem to possess powers, skills, or know people who have such skills or powers? I feel there has to be a reason behind it. And for why we are being dragged here.

I suppose if we manage to save the world, then we'll be delivered trophies and get a handshake from the universe, and can go about our lives.

Sorry for the veiled sarcasm. It's been a long day. I'm having a fight with my refrigerator again.
