Where I was wasn't home anyway, but at least my friends knew where I was.

I can't believe we're only twenty days away from Christmas.

I have so much shopping to do.

So apparently, holidays prior to the bombs seem to be just as depressing as they're supposed to be uplifting. Thanksgiving is pretty dark when you look at the history, and Christmas just seems weird. At least I missed Unity Day this time around.

I'll admit I don't really get the whole Thanksgiving holiday, but Christmas rings vaguely familiar for me. Seems a lot like Life Day, which is something I can get behind.

Song writing and cranky babies really do not go well together.

I don't understand what's happening here.

I'm supposed to be in Palm Springs. I have a job to do.

So Thursday is thanksgiving. That's a holiday we have where we eat a lot of delicious food and try to give thanks for something in our lives.

I know a lot of people are pretty new so my place will be open starting at noon that day for anyone who wants food and drinks.

Being thankful is optional. Just don't be a jerk.

Since I'm stuck here for the time being, I might as well do something useful. I don't know if you get to take anything back with you - but since money doesn't have a place back home, knowledge is the best bet. Now I just have to pick a major that'll be relevant 100+ years in the future.

Anyone know the likelihood that people you know show up? Someone's got statistics or something, right?

Sometimes, you think you've seen it all. And then something else happens.

I saw the campus. I like it. I think I'm going to start in January, finish up my freshman year. Guess I might as well do something while I'm stuck here.

Every year on Halloween, Area 53 hosts an all age party in the Community Centre. Starting at 6pm there are various competitions include 'best costume, scariest costume etc'. There are various games to be played, finger food is provided as well as soft drink. The children have the opportunity to go trick and treating supervised by a group of adults. From 10pm when the children leave, the party turns into an 'adult' party with dancing, alcohol provided etc. ( click to see the room decorations )
