So the fact that the school is slowly but surely heading towards bankruptcy, while not exactly common knowledge, is cause for alarm for those in the know. So just what would you do to save your school as you know it? Will you throw yourself into school life harder than ever, hoping that Islington's board will see what a mistake closing the school would be? ****** ‘Islington Prep’ is a completely non-supernatural original game set in a prestigious boarding school in Maryland. We're looking for writers who are dedicated to character development and quality writing. Characters from all grades can be played, but players must be 18+ please. We'd like to see a good mix of both moneyed students and scholarship students. Bring on the inevitable conflict between the so-called Haves and Have-Nots! Information Credit Your life has not been an easy one. Many have tried to make you see reason, and it seems like you make one mistake after another. Some say you never stood a chance in this world but somewhere in your deepest heart of hearts, you know that’s not true. You can remember so clearly walking on your path of destruction, and the world stilling around you as you hit that one defining moment. That one chance to get your life together, or continue this path to whatever oblivion awaited you. You made the wrong choice, but don’t worry. There is someone looking out for you. This force of good wants you to find redemption. The force has tried to be subtle, but you missed its cues. You didn’t realize it, but through-out the course of your life you were giving three major opportunities to turn your life around – and failed every choice. Now your life is about to be highjacked. How the occupants come to the hotel is always a little different, but the same key details are always the same. A person suffers an extremely long period of bad luck – it could be a week, it could even be months. At some point in the chaos, an opportunity is presented to them. A job offer. A new deal. A new identity. Whatever the person feels they need most presents themselves – if they’re willing to travel to get it. Sometimes they’re told to go to California, sometimes it’s Vegas, but the trip is doomed from the start. Connecting flights will be canceled. Rental cars will break down in the middle of the Mojave desert. Phone signals go out. Batteries die. There’s no choice but to walk it. The details of the journey differ, but the end result is always the same. In the distance, you see a hotel.

What if the way the world worked as we knew it ended? And, what if we were powerless to stop it? On the 21st December 2012, a massive electromagnetic pulse tore through the worlds electrical systems, brought on by a huge solar flare. The disruption was instant. Power and communication systems shut down. Planes plunged from the sky, trains derailed and hospital equipment failed, resulting in the deaths of many. Others left stranded and trapped without any way to call for help. Along with many people injured by power surges and gas explosions. The banks crashed and people soon turned to looting and rioting. The world was plunged into darkness and chaos, and uprisings and lawlessness rock this now dark new world. Three years pass, the world has torn itself apart, with billions dying and systems of government and law and order broken, a part of memory. But the world lurches on, and in one part of North America, a new community is rising...and fighting. This community of once floating Nomads now live without electricity. They are getting by in ways that had become close to obsolete in the pre blackout world, farming, bartering, trading and living in manageable tribal groups, plagued by hunger, bandits, religious zealots and illnesses, as well as the more mundane issues of finding your place, falling in love and generally getting by. ****** ‘Nomads’ is an original character game set in a dystopian world where characters live within Tribes in Cascade Locks, Oregon. As it has only been three years since the Pulse, everything is still pretty unstable and fractured - the world as well as the people. The tribes of Cascade Locks have an understanding with each other but hackles can easily rise as they work to rebuild and establish their own territories. The RPG MODS RPG OOC STORYLINES Directory Premise Rules Premades Taken & Held Apply Dropbox	"In the wake of the Cataclysm, the failure of the heroes Six, what are we to do now? What comes next when the world could not be saved?" There was a great Cataclysm that had befallen the world. No amount of military might, nor technological prowess could stand against the wrath of the One. His anger was poised to burn the world. There were Six who chose to stand against the One. They wielded great power in the form of the Constructs, a strength unlike the world had ever known. Their efforts were valiant, but they were in vain; the One caused a gamma-ray burst to scorch half of the Earth. His war caused the extinction of well more than half of the human race. As a consequence of their failure, the Six were labeled Pariahs, and went into hiding. Nobody has known of their whereabouts for over five years. In the wake of the Cataclysm, we have been carving out as many niches as we are able within the confines of the ruined world. Worse yet, are the Nulls. Inexplicable horrors, shadows in space-time, the Nulls roam the most brutal climes. Nobody knows where the Nulls come from, or what they do to their victims. Most avoid their Lands in favor of safer, greener pastures. Among the ruins stands the Spire, a haven for those willing to seek it. Within its walls are idyllic lands created by man to satisfy their needs. Vowing to protect the Spire are fighters known as the Savior Corps, who live in the ruins ready to battle Nulls who would try and take the Spire for themselves. The year is 2140 in Boston, and you are a new recruit in the Savior Corps, ready to fight evil as the Six had. We originally decided to start out as a private group storyline, but considering the nature of our game, we've decided to open it up to the public. We don't only want soldiers, we want survivors too of every age range and race., and we're absolutely slash friendly. This isn't to say, however, that this game should be taken lightly. As far as we're concerned, we're still an old fashioned GM'd game, so don't be surprised if the mod account pops up in a thread with a prompt. Just go with the flow.
