This is Sar with the character she's been threatening ever since the promo materials with him first appeared back when
Detroit: Become Human was still in development. And others.
Connor (
cyberlifer ) is a prototype police android who handles investigations, hostage negotiations, and a few other things. I"m working on a write up of my specific game choices, which will be in his journal soon. By the end of my game, Connor had made some new choices and started to develop as a person, instead of a machine. The next step, logically, is that he's literally become a human here!
Connor likes dogs, has been introduced to, and enjoys death metal music. He's fairly literal about a lot of things and well, he's an ANDROID, or was, and worked in a formal setting with the police so he tends not to get idioms or other slang very much. He's sweet and earnest, and learning about and discovering himself.
As far as I can tell, he hasn't quite thought about preferences in terms of people, though he DID admit that an android girl he met in the course of the game was "really pretty", so take that as you will. His best friend at this point is a snarky, drunk detective who has probably influenced a lot of the things he's come to like in the human world.
ALSO from Detroit, and a bit of a surprise to me, was Markus (
we_are_alive ). Markus, in my game, and with my choices, emerged as a calm, pacifist leader in the androids' struggle for freedom and autonomy. He originally was owned by an elderly artist named Carl, who taught him about the world, and the arts and literature. He also worked as Carl's medical assistant, doing a lot of nursing duties.
Markus has been learning a lot about himself and his value as a person, and suddenly being human is probably going to feel a bit cheap to him after fighting to be recognized as an android for so long. He's had a girlfriend, North, and made other friends as a resistance leader, and while he's calm, he's also not a pushover and very determined. He wants to ensure a future where everyone is equal and he won't resort to violence to do it, but he WILL stand his ground and succeed. Think of him as the embodiment of the pacifist non violent civil rights leaders coming out of the last half of the 20th century. He also has one blue eye and one green, though I didn't edit his icons for the fact. There's an in game reason for it that's fairly important.
He's up for nearly anything plotwise.
I've also got a reincarnated Combeferre (
etre_libre, who hails from Les Mis. In the 19th century, Combeferre was a medical student and revolutionary with an eye to civilized social progress and a focus on ensuring that the world had a right to education and freedom. He died with his friends at a student protest that was meant to be larger than it became, after many people backed out of attending, after being stabbed while moving to help an injured National Guardsman from the other side.
In the modern world that he came from, Combeferre's still a medical student and still an activist, though he's mostly focused on the medical student thing the last few years. He's involved with a version of the friends of the ABC, and basically hails from around the same timeline as Bahorel.
Combeferre's a supernerd who knows basically everything or where to find it out, can usually be found with his head in a book and is known for being able to defuse tough situations. He's fantastically smart and kind and a damned good shot for someone with a prescription as strong as his current glasses call for.
Ferre does deal with migraines and the modern version happens to be one of the smaller segment of the male population with fibromyalgia (most of us are female or assigned female at birth), but he's dealing with it the best he can. I'll try not to let him go wikipedia on any of you. He likes literally everyone and has no set romantic preferences, other than that he tends to prefer to at least be friends with the people he sleeps with. Courfeyrac was his cousin in the 19th century timeline, and Enjolras was his best friend and he'll want to get close to that. He also knows Gavroche, and will be pleased to see he's doing well here, and has probably at least seen the Thenardier sisters or his world's equivalent around the place.
He's up for making friends, having debates and learning things. And maybe building a barricade or two if the time is right and justice demands to be served.
Hit me up for stuff?
