It's been a while since I've done this, but this is Sar with a semi new kid. Dr. Simon Hathaway was an NPC during the big Abstergo plot a few years ago, when Sherr got kidnapped and stuck in an Animus for a few months. Simone's been in prison since, but he's been having a few interesting thoughts while in prison (Shaun visits him to rub it in fairly often and Simon's also the only other historian of Shaun's caliber, basically making Simon Shaun's Abstergo equivalent) . Simon WAS head of Abstergo's historical research division and a member of the inner sanctum of Abstergo associated templars, meaning he's seen and heard a LOT.

During his time in prison for kidnapping Sherr, Simon's still been in contact with the bits of Abstergo that tried to get a foothold in this universe, had his faith in Abstergo and the Templar Order tested shortly before he ended up here, and he's had a lot of time to mull over what he's learned, along with what he believes, and well, he may or may not be considering a change, and may or may not be in a position to aid the Brotherhood or Haytham's breed of Templars soon.

IF he gets out of prison, anyway.

His face is that of the lovely Daniel Brühl, and he'll be getting extra icons soon. In the meantime, have fun with this? He's got a stolen phone to post with now, or something.

OOC: Newbies for Sar

THIS is Alaric Saltzman of the Vampire Diaries. He's coming in from an AU of season 4. Basically, he's been sent to Angel Grove from The Other Side, after Bonnie lifted the Veil. He's a vampire now, and hadn't been one for very long before events got him sent there so he has...pretty much no experience, even though his best friend, ex wife, and pseudo daughter are all vampires so he's not ignorant to anything, just lacks practical skills. He WAS a history teacher by day, Van Helsing by night, but that's probably going to be changed up a little now. He also packs one heck of a crossbow.

<lj-user="not_a_dabbler" is also new. Leo, or Prince Leopold, is from Netflix's <i>Irregulars</i>, which focuses on the kids in Sherlock Holmes' London network. Leo has spent a lot of his life ill with hemophilia and sheltered because of it, but he's learnt how to sneak away from the palace a bit, and is finding himself and his identity outside of being Queen Victoria's youngest son. He tends to be the brains of the little gang he's found himself a part of, and he'll be missing them, especially Bea, who he's closest to, but he's up to meet new people and make friends.

Both are on offer for anything!

Sar here with Arannis, my current D&D character and the replacement for Mikalos, who died in the campaign. Arannis has some bio information that can be found here: http://the-red-wolf.insanejournal.com/476.html#cutid1. trigger warnings for slavery and murder and death, in that link. He's a half elven barbarian which means he gets angry and destroys things. He's currently wearing the neck collage and cuffs he wore as an arena slave and keeps them as a sort of memory of where he's been. And...stuff. He likes boys, fighting, animals and is a bit prone to over drinking. He also owns an evil talking sword called Hazirawn. And I"m up for all sorts of places his sword may be welcome.

New Characters: Sar

[info]cattitude_
[info]angelooc
Sar has more new characters because the semester break is great for new blood, or something!

THIS lovely lady is Catra, coming at you from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, the recently concluded netflix reboot, and a canonmate of Bow's. Catra's coming from the end of the series, and I'll be sure to indicate major spoilers when I tag with her. The main thing to know is that she's snarky and strategic and finding her place in the world after a dysfunctional childhood raised in the evil horde with her best friend Adora, who left the Horde after becoming She-Ra, a super powerful magical girl being.

Spoilers for ending of She-ra )

She's also a cat. Literally. Catra's cat appearance has been toned down for this world, but she IS keeping her hetero-chromatic eyes, her ears in human form are more pointed than her icons would suggest (I'm not a WIZARD) and she has a tail, though it's usually going to be hidden here so she can pass for human.

I've also got ([info]red_son) Kal-L, from the animated version of DC Comics' Superman: Red Son. The story asks the question: What would have happened if Superman's capsule had landed in Russia. Kal's coming in from the 1980's, having just had a lot of his life choices and decisions that he made to make the world a better place called into enough question that he needs time to consider his next steps. He WAS close friends with Wonder Woman once, did NOT get along with his canon's Batman and a lot of DC's American characters were not exactly fans, due to the whole...communist thing.

Kal did love his childhood friend Svetlana, but he's not really been involved with anyone since, and considering he spent most of his life as a state resource, and then trying to protect the state itself, hasn't had a lot of experience in the area of romance or most normal friendships, but as he's figuring out this normal life thing, it may come into play.

He IS AG Superman's facetwin because I couldn't not.

I highly recommend Red Son if you're at all into DC or comics. It's really, really good with a fun alternate take on many characters. Seriously, while DC's live action movies are fairly hit or miss, their animated stuff is usually AMAZING.

Lastly, an OC and familiar face you'll have seen as an NPC around these parts. Pat O'Cleary ([info]masshole_ ) has a journal of his own. He's been in some logs and is a Police Sergeant in Edinburgh, though he's actually an Irish-American kid from Boston. James Potter, the Vaels, and Noah will DEFINITELY recognize him. More about Pat and his purposes in this universe can be found here: http://users.insanejournal.com/masshole_/412.html .

I'm up for just about anything with these guys!

I've made a list for the assassins here, including allies, etc. The ones not templars anyway. If I missed you in this list or have something wrong here, let me know? Additionally if you want to have someone join the assassins, and they're not irrevocably insanely evil, it's easy to get on the list, so let me know that too! AND if anyone with an assassin not mine wants to train an apprentice in the next go-around...

Anyway. List. Go forth and...use this?

Because I needed more assassin's creed adjacent characters, didn't I?

This lovely lady is Jennifer Scott, who doesn't use the last name of her father. She's Edward Kenway (the pirate one)'s oldest child and Haytham's half sister. violence, trafficking, fun shit here, kids. Spoilers for AC Novel: Foresaken )

I've also got [info]da_toscana, Ezio's son, Marcello, who was ten when his father died because it took Ezio a while to settle down and have (legitimate) kids as a really old man. He has no real idea about the brotherhood because he hasn't been told yet, beyond knowing his father was in a secret organization and I'm not planning to involve him in that. Marcello is a poet and a Renaissance man at heart. He speaks several languages, enjoys painting and music, though he's not especially a genius at either of them, he can manage, and has more than his share of being a courtier to share with everyone. And he fences.

Jenny's not up for any romance plots at this time, but with Marcello I'm welcome to anyone! They're also up for friendships, work relationships or anything else.

This is Sar and the thing has occurred. Rycroft Philostrate of Carnival Row as played by Sar.

Carnival Row is the new Amazon series that came out Labor Day weekend in the US, featuring a world in which the fey, ravaged by war in their own lands, are refugees in "The Burgue", a steampunk universe full of darkness and mystery. Philo's a former soldier in the war that tore apart the fey world, and became a policeman after he got home, working his way around to become an Inspector. He's also the only cop who gives a crap about the supernatural creatures of the world (faeries, fauns, werewolves and others). He's got a couple reasons for this.

1. He had a thing with a faerie named Vignette during the war and still has a thing with her he's trying to come to terms with now that she's back in his life.

And SPOILERS )

My eventual goal is getting him involved in helping new people adjust to being here. I'm open for stuff with him! I know some of you were contemplating canon mates, and I'd enjoy those!

Two new ones for Sar!

[info]glaodhaire
[info]angelooc
Sar with some new characters for you all, who are making their appearances known the past few days. My first offering is Meghan Vael, another Dragonage OC of sorts. She's mentioned in the game as a name, with no one giving a context as to who she is. In the case of my Meghan, she's Sebastian's niece, Iomhar's daughter, who was five at the time of the coup that claimed most of the Vaels' lives. Meghan isn't, as her family long suspected, dead, and, in fact, escaped with a servant, who gave his life protecting his would be future ruler and Princess (as Calum had no children, it would pass to Iomhar, and then HIS children). Tiny, and lost, Meghan managed to survive long enough to find her way to the doorstep of a midwife, who adopted and trained her as an apprentice when she was old enough. More details are over in her first journal post, but Meghan is fifteen, soon to be sixteen, and likes herbs, birds, and history and record keeping. If she knew genealogy was a thing, she'd probably be into that too.

My other newcomer is a MCU Bucky Barnes, HOWEVER, my Bucky is coming in midway through Captain America TFA, around the time of his first capture by HYDRA, when Steve arrives to rescue Bucky and his men. Bucky's had an experimental version of the serum Steve was given, but it's nowhere near as strong as Steves, or as he got as Winter Soldier in the films. He's dealing with some enhanced senses, hunger and some quicker healing than usual, though not to an extreme amount. He might also be a tiny bit faster and stronger than the normal person, but it's nothing TOO unusual yet. Mostly, the senses are what he's dealing with. He's a little shocked to meet a Steve who isn't HIS, and the son of a Howard Stark who's not his either. And the lack of rationing is nice. He's friendly and likes goldfish crackers.

Up for plots as always!

Not to be outdone by our Ironman, here's a counterpart, not from the same universe, but an AU version of the other big name Avenger. So, Angel Grove, here's your new Captain America, Steve Royama! Steve's history can be found over at his journal, but he's just a kid from Los Angeles who was undersized and sickly at the start of World War Two and eager to prove himself, especially when his heritage as the son of Japanese immigrants got him sent to Topaz Internment Camp in Utah. From there, he still met Erskine, ending up as a candidate in Project Genesis, and then, after tradgedy struck right after the initial experiment, as a lab monkey until he realized Bucky was in trouble and decided to go after his unit, fighting for the first time.

From there on, his story is pretty similar to your basic MCU Cap, and he's coming at you from right after the events involved in Winter Soldier. Basically, he knows what happened to Bucky, has seen him again, and is trying to deal with that.

Steve's experiences are based heavily in history and, in particular, inspired by George Takei's beautiful musical, Allegiance, which tells the story of a family during Internment, a show which stars the amazing Telly Leung, Steve's face! I'm still working on cropping his icons, but they're incoming and he's ready to help with action and everything else!

And my standard MCU Steve is now off, so if anyone's been dying to grab THAT mantle, here's your chance!

This is Sar, because I can't stop, and this, contrary to his face, is not the return of Jamie Frasier, but rather Prince Liam Greymane from World Of Warcraft.

Liam came of age during a tumultuous time in which his father, King Genn Greymane, withdrew their country, Gilneas, from the rest of the Alliance, due to not wanting to financially support decisions the alliance was making, built a wall and isolated the kingdom from the rest of Azeroth, which meant, when the time that help was needed came...no one was able to give it.

Spoilers for worgen starting storyline! ) Annnnd...

Here we are in Angel Grove. This is what happens when you build a wall!

Liam's in his late twenties, single, and open to relationships, friendships and anything else of that nature while he's here. Hit me up!

Sar's going in a slightly unusual direction however, with a dude who is neither assassin, nor templar, nor the child of one, so let's put some spoilers under a cut for the Kassandra timline of AC: Odyssey

So...it's going to be an awkward go of it at first. Alexios is rather reactionary, still bitter and jaded and confused by the Greek world outside of his cult, so coming into THIS century, as a Spartan man who at least attempted to blend into their society, is going to be even weirder. He's prickly, guarded and has a very dark sense of humor.

He's also, due to the Ancient Greek thing, DTF with literally anyone above the age of 16! I'd love a Kassandra centric Kassandra for him, or either sibling from an Alexios centric playthrough to mess with his head but for now, this will work just fine!

[info]cyberlifer
[info]angelooc

ITS FINALLY TIME!

[info]cyberlifer
[info]angelooc
This is Sar with the character she's been threatening ever since the promo materials with him first appeared back when Detroit: Become Human was still in development. And others.

Connor ( [info]cyberlifer ) is a prototype police android who handles investigations, hostage negotiations, and a few other things. I"m working on a write up of my specific game choices, which will be in his journal soon. By the end of my game, Connor had made some new choices and started to develop as a person, instead of a machine. The next step, logically, is that he's literally become a human here!

Connor likes dogs, has been introduced to, and enjoys death metal music. He's fairly literal about a lot of things and well, he's an ANDROID, or was, and worked in a formal setting with the police so he tends not to get idioms or other slang very much. He's sweet and earnest, and learning about and discovering himself.

As far as I can tell, he hasn't quite thought about preferences in terms of people, though he DID admit that an android girl he met in the course of the game was "really pretty", so take that as you will. His best friend at this point is a snarky, drunk detective who has probably influenced a lot of the things he's come to like in the human world.

ALSO from Detroit, and a bit of a surprise to me, was Markus ( [info]we_are_alive ). Markus, in my game, and with my choices, emerged as a calm, pacifist leader in the androids' struggle for freedom and autonomy. He originally was owned by an elderly artist named Carl, who taught him about the world, and the arts and literature. He also worked as Carl's medical assistant, doing a lot of nursing duties.

Markus has been learning a lot about himself and his value as a person, and suddenly being human is probably going to feel a bit cheap to him after fighting to be recognized as an android for so long. He's had a girlfriend, North, and made other friends as a resistance leader, and while he's calm, he's also not a pushover and very determined. He wants to ensure a future where everyone is equal and he won't resort to violence to do it, but he WILL stand his ground and succeed. Think of him as the embodiment of the pacifist non violent civil rights leaders coming out of the last half of the 20th century. He also has one blue eye and one green, though I didn't edit his icons for the fact. There's an in game reason for it that's fairly important.

He's up for nearly anything plotwise.

I've also got a reincarnated Combeferre ( [info]etre_libre, who hails from Les Mis. In the 19th century, Combeferre was a medical student and revolutionary with an eye to civilized social progress and a focus on ensuring that the world had a right to education and freedom. He died with his friends at a student protest that was meant to be larger than it became, after many people backed out of attending, after being stabbed while moving to help an injured National Guardsman from the other side.

In the modern world that he came from, Combeferre's still a medical student and still an activist, though he's mostly focused on the medical student thing the last few years. He's involved with a version of the friends of the ABC, and basically hails from around the same timeline as Bahorel.

Combeferre's a supernerd who knows basically everything or where to find it out, can usually be found with his head in a book and is known for being able to defuse tough situations. He's fantastically smart and kind and a damned good shot for someone with a prescription as strong as his current glasses call for.

Ferre does deal with migraines and the modern version happens to be one of the smaller segment of the male population with fibromyalgia (most of us are female or assigned female at birth), but he's dealing with it the best he can. I'll try not to let him go wikipedia on any of you. He likes literally everyone and has no set romantic preferences, other than that he tends to prefer to at least be friends with the people he sleeps with. Courfeyrac was his cousin in the 19th century timeline, and Enjolras was his best friend and he'll want to get close to that. He also knows Gavroche, and will be pleased to see he's doing well here, and has probably at least seen the Thenardier sisters or his world's equivalent around the place.

He's up for making friends, having debates and learning things. And maybe building a barricade or two if the time is right and justice demands to be served.

Hit me up for stuff?

I will likely not be around tonight. I’m currently in the ER, where they think my scan showed an obstruction in my abdomen. They’re probably going to admit me. I may be phone posting or tagging later, but I probably won’t be in chat. I’ll update as things progress. I’ve been given an Oxy and god knows how weird I’m gonna get since I haven’t had super strong meds since December, so we’ll see. Assume everyone is doing their thing?

-Sar

Edit: 3-28. Discharged because whatever it was resolved on its own . I’m heading home when my ride gets here! Apparently this is a thing. I’ve had a lot of surgeries there so I guess it’s bound to get weird. I wish it’d resolved before they had me drink two cups of barium, but hey, we know I’m not dying for sure now!

Also, even if you stay within the daily Tylenol limit, taking it all in six hours is bad, no matter how much something hurts, kids. I came in because I was scared that was why I was having pain, but even though it wasn’t, the internet reveals that even a little too much fucks with you in other ways. Let’s be careful out there.

This is Sar with Private Wyatt from the Wolfenstein series, assuming a timeline in which he survives events of the first game, due to player choices, etc. There are other options depending on what you do there, so...

Wyatt's a bright kid turned soldier turned resistance fighter turned one of the leaders of his cell, and currently is coming from an alternate version of the 1960s in which the Nazis won World War 2 and proceeded to expand their power over the globe. He's a good soldier, pilot, and good at improvising and thinking on his feet. He's also pretty easy-going and generally really smart, seeking knowledge of the world and himself, and has been through a LOT, including a stint as a POW.

He's coming from the latest game, so I'll cut spoilers as they come up. Stuff?
