All's Not Well

Summary: Hogwarts Halloween festivities... students can dance the night away (and yes the punch is spiked)!

Who: Oswald MacNair and Ophelia Burke
What: Deals in the works…the shadier the better…
When: Saturday, Oct 25, 2023. Noon.
Where: Hogsmeade; The Hog's Head.

Oswald had agonized over his clothes and hair before meeting in the courtyard to travel to Hogsmeade. After selecting a black, velvet robe with a perfectly pressed white shirt, he was a bit overdressed for a trip to Hogsmeade normally. However, this wasn't any normal trip.

Dressed as a respectable, rich, Pureblood wizard he was presenting the image he wanted for his meeting with a respected, Pureblood witch of some renown. He didn't want Miss Burke thinking of him as some ickle schoolboy. That wouldn't do at all…

Walking into the dingy, shady pub at exactly noon, Oswald looked around for Ophelia. He was nervous; very nervous. However, he did his best to hide it well. Shady dealings, as much as he made the claim otherwise, were pretty new to Oswald and he felt a bit out of his depth.

Who: Oswald MacNair and Kerrigan Flint
When: October 20th, Just after classes
Where: Outside the Potion Dungeon
Summary: A chance meeting…

Oswald MacNair was practically strutting as he walked down the stairs into the Slytherin Common Room. Dressed in perfectly tailored black, Italian slacks and leather shoes, his torso was wrapped in a stylish button down and jacket in mildly different shades of black. His outfit of black on black on black wasn’t something most could pull off, but Oswald was sure that he could.

He was still walking on the high created by the team’s crushing, in his mind, defeat of Gryffindor the week before. It only helped to add to his feeling of superiority that his housemates were just as excited as he was.

Looking around the common room, he looked to see if there was anyone interesting to talk to. There was, which was all the more reason to leave. Keep them wanting, or so he had read in a book about such things. With a wave and a twisted grin to a few Slytherin girls, she made his way out through the portrait and into the halls.

He filed away a few names as possible dates for the Halloween Costume Ball…

A vain boy, Oswald had changed from his uniform into the dashing outfit he now wore. He had left a book behind that he needed if he decided to do his homework, not a guarantee, and decided to go get it and a little air at the same time.

Turning the corner, he came face to face with one of his housemates.
