HALLOWEEN DANCE! Characters: all students. When/Where:30th of October, 2023! (putting up early so there's lots of time to thread!) Rating: ...PG-13, maybe, but that might be debatable. subject to change! Summary: Hogwarts Halloween festivities... students can dance the night away (and yes the punch is spiked)!
Filius Flitwick was excitedly putting the last few decorations up around the Great Hall with his handful of volunteers. The tables had been removed, leaving a wide, empty space for students to dance. Square tables decorated with orange and white tablecloths were set up around the perimeter of the Hall, each set up with stacks of plates and goblets for students to use. At the head of the room, where the teachers usually sat, a long table sat. It was filled with all sorts of desserts and snacks -- chocolate frogs, treacle tart, candy corn, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and ice cream that never seemed to melt. There were celery sticks and Ice Mice, licorice sticks and a large bowl of green salad. There was also a rather huge bowl of Every Flavoured Beans sitting in the center. Surrounding the huge bowl were pitchers that constantly refilled themselves; pumpkin juice, butter beer, iced tea, cold water, and fruit punch.
The walls of the Great Hall had been charmed to flicker with random silhouettes of spiders and snakes and other creepy Halloween related things. Orange and black streamers hung from the walls and ceiling was reflecting the peaceful night sky. A large banner that said, "HAPPY HALLOWEEN, HOGWARTS" flashed between black and orange.
At 10pm, the large table of food would temporarily disappear and a stage would appear where the Babbling Banshees would play for an hour. After their show was done, the table would return.
It was getting close to 9pm and Filius could hear the students lining up outside impatiently. He was excited to see the costumes his students had cooked up this year. There was always someone who dressed in something ridiculous and Filius loved it. He chuckled enthusiastically as he put the finishing touches of decorations on the wall.
As he turned his back to finally let in all of the students, he didn't notice one of his volunteers sneaking toward the table of refreshments and dumping a rather large vial into the punch...
