Aislin was trying to get some homework done yet again, and wasn't having very much luck. But it really wasn't her fault. She was too busy thinking about important things... like Quidditch, and the upcoming career day, and Hogsmeade, and Joseph, and how the common room still smelled a bit like singed carpet, and how she really needed to mend the hem of her skirt. It was a bad habit of hers, drifting off in thought when she was supposed to be working. The chatter in the great hall helped focus her a little bit, but not enough to notice that her quill was slowly leaking ink onto the piece of parchment that she'd set down more than a half hour ago.
