There had a bit of a debate thrown around about what to do for Molly's birthday, but in the end the expedient choice of Carnival was chosen and a mass of texts sent out. Plus people were told to invite others if they wanted.

The music was thumping and Frank had tossed a few coins to the DJ to make sure a few songs they knew Molly loved would be put into the rotation. There was a good number of people crowding the club and a flash of many bright and shiny colours as they moved to the music. To varying degrees of success.

Frank & Open

Since being thrust into super boring work duties Frank had been taking care of themself by treating themself to things on a semi regular basis. It had led to some shopping, more than a few nights out, and more time trying to nail down some ideas on the tattoo they wanted. Plus a few things people might call more traditional self care like a massage and plenty of reading time. It meant by the time it came around to Molly's birthday they were full of good vibes and had an outfit they loved. They'd had to put a purple sports bra on to make sure they could actually get in the club, and put on dark maroon boots which had seen hours of clubbing for comfort. They'd added in maroon hair with some grey streaks and heavy black eyeliner and called it good. Maybe at some point they would end up with some glitter too.

When they entered the club they stopped at the bar for a shot of vodka (not their usual preference but much easier to shoot) before bunging a tip to the DJ to hopefully get some of Molly's favourites into the rotation and looking for familiar faces or maybe just attractive faces around the tables and floor. They bounced enthusiastically as something with a decent beat came on, still trying to move through, and misjudged one bounce, stumbling slightly into someone and yelling an apology as they tried to move through.

Hunter hadn't been exactly sure when he would make it to the Carnival, always an issue when most Quidditch matches could go on for an indeterminate length of time. But he was grateful to Molly for not choosing the night before his play-off match for her birthday celebration; he would have hated to have missed it. He hadn't been able to avoid after-match drinks at the Drunken Zebra either, though ducked out early to meet his girlfriend.

Although he was tired, Hunter wasn't showing signs of fatigue as he tried to locate Molly. The Magpies had won and while she likely already knew he wanted to celebrate that with her as well.

"Whoa!" Someone bumped into him and his hands automatically came up. It took him a moment to recognise the bouncing purple mage as Molly's friend Frank. "Hey, have you seen the birthday girl?"
