There had a bit of a debate thrown around about what to do for Molly's birthday, but in the end the expedient choice of Carnival was chosen and a mass of texts sent out. Plus people were told to invite others if they wanted.

The music was thumping and Frank had tossed a few coins to the DJ to make sure a few songs they knew Molly loved would be put into the rotation. There was a good number of people crowding the club and a flash of many bright and shiny colours as they moved to the music. To varying degrees of success.

Mr. Broody definitely looked like he didn't usually hang around in a dance club. Not to mention, she knew nearly all the usual faces, just from how often she was here on Fridays and Saturdays. He definitely wasn't one of them. She'd guess he was maybe 30? He looked worn down, but why would someone choose a dance club to drink away a bad week at work?

She turned more fully toward him, her body 'accidentally' brushing up against his. "And what do you like to watch?" She put an innocent, curious look on her face and wondered if she was wasting her time. But he was so damned handsome, and a stranger. Both of those things piqued her interest far too much for her to walk away just yet.

He looked at her closely, she wasn't much younger than him though he probably looked closer to forty to her. Did he really look okay enough for a club kid to come up and start hitting on him?

He felt her body brush up against his. She was attractive, he thought. Her dress hugged her in all the right places. It wasn't his normal method of clearing his head but it could be a bit more therapeutic than drinking away he problems. "I like to see if anything catches my eye." He knew he was shite at flirting, but a random twenty something might not care that he was bad at it.

Eliza snorted delicately at his line. "Is that so," she said - not asking him a question. She sipped at her drink again. "So why the club, then, if this isn't your usual... scene?" He was so pretty in a Mr. Broody way, but she really was curious why he was here if he seemed to disliked it so much. She didn't step back from where she'd accidentally crowded his personal space, but she did want to know more before she committed to anything.

Eliza was an easy lay, but she wasn't an idiot, either. She knew all too well how easily a one night stand could turn dangerous, and so she always did her research before she chose a man for the night. This was all part of that research.

"And what's your name? Or should I keep calling you Mr. Broody in my head?" She asked suddenly without yet offering her own.

He didn't quite know why he was here. He spent a week without sleep because Maria had been avoiding him then returned the favor by going to the one place he didn't think she would look for him. Not that she would. The last time he saw her, she let him know they'd talk at the office. He still didn't quite know what to say when that conversation came. "It's harder to overthink things here that it is at a pub. Less likely to be alone at that."

This girl probably thought he was some lovesick nutter who posted up at a different spot every night. "Kieran. My name's Kieran." He leaned in a bit. He voice low enough that his usually brogue became more pronounced.

"Should I assume you have a name too? Or did I just give mine to a fae?"

He was avoiding something, probably whatever it was made him seem so broody amid the bright colors and flashing lights. "Kieran," she repeated, avoiding his request for her own name but smiling at his joke. "Wouldn't you like to know?" She asked, her smile turning sharp and her eyes narrowing slightly. Yes. He would do just fine. She could help him forget whatever it was that had him hiding here.

"My friends have the VIP lounge, would you like to join us, Kieran?" She wanted him in a shorter chair, wanted to dance for him and feel his hands tentatively brush across all the exposed skin her dress showed off.

She leaned in further, giving him her own whisper, "I can help you forget whatever it is you're hiding from..."

Kieran looked over her shoulder at the group congregating behind a velvet rope. The group looked like celebrities, the beautiful people. He thought maybe he'd pass. Return to his drink, and then return to his flat where he could pretend he sleeps.

Then she leaned in and whispered exactly what he wanted to hear. He needed to forget to at least for tonight that nothing had turned his life upside down. "I think I'd like that." He paid for his drink leaving enough for the bartender and followed the redhead up through the velvet rope.

Eliza's smile turned serpentine when he agreed and she took his hand as he stood, leading the way. She waved hello to Roxanne as she passed her, giving her a look and directed him to the very back corner of the dim space. She turned and looked from him to the chair, "Sit, I'll get us drinks," she'd noticed he had been drinking whiskey, so she swooped past one of the VIP tables and scooped up a bottle of Gentleman Jack and two glasses. Fuck the ice.

She liked being invited to parties where she knew nearly no one and didn't have to give a shit about the hosts. This was fun. And bottle service, too! She'd leave a good tip, though.

She returned to Kieran and set the bottle and glasses down with a triumphant grin. "I told you I could help you forget," she said in a sing-song tone.

She swayed to the music and told him to pour them each a glass, sucking down the rest of her cocktail in a rush. Eliza leaned over him to take her new glass from the little side table, making sure he got a very good look at her creamy exposed skin as she did so.

"If you don't dance, but like to watch, would you like to watch me?" She asked, close to his ear, before she straightened back up, glass in hand.

He did as she asked. Pouring a double in the two glasses he held one up to her as she swayed. It seemed surreal. When she leaned down he couldn't help noticing just how busty she was. It made him feel constricted. He took a deep breath as she whispered in his ear again, trying his best to relax. He didn't quite care what was happening, the whiskey already dulling his senses.

"I'd love to watch you." He voiced, sitting back in the chair. He tried his best to hide his arousal relaxing into the warm embrace of the whiskey.

Eliza gave him an adorable little chuckle when he answered, "You'd love to, would you?"

She noticed the way he adjusted himself and she shook her head coquettishly, "No need to hide, that's kind of the point after all." She leaned in closer as she swayed, her hands coming to rest on his shoulders, essentially giving him a fully-clothed lap dance. She gave him space to drink, though, and didn't bother with her own. She loved to get plastered with the best of them, but she could do that any day of the week on her own. There were some things she needed another participant for! And this was how she'd get her party high tonight.

"So, Kieran, have you ever given yourself over to a 'fae' before?" She asked, close to his ear again, the sarcasm obvious in her question.

He didn't know what he was getting himself into, but for the first time he didn't quite care. Monday he could decide how he was going to handle his situation. Tonight he would sip at his whiskey, it was going down smooth.

"This isn't something I usually do." He admitted, "It's not very often a beautiful woman picks me up in a bar." He relaxed back into his seat as she laid her hands on his shoulder, her hips from side to side.

"If you are then I’d be happy to do whatever you want me to."

She puffed out a caustic little snirk at his admission. "It doesn't seem like you're usually in places to do something like this," he did say he didn't normally hit the club scene, after all, right? "I'm pretty sure if you were here on the regular, witches would be falling over themselves to pick you up." He really was very handsome. Strong jaw line. Beautiful eyes. Perfectly tousled hair. Five o'clock shadow. He had a messy James Dean thing going on, she wasn't just flattering him by assuming women would love his attentions. Then again, she knew nothing about him except for what he looked like. Maybe he was a bore. Or a snake. Or a drunk. Whatever. Eliza didn't need to care. As long as he could behave himself for the next few hours, and keep looking like he did, she was happy.

"You'd sell your soul to the fairies? I wonder why you're so willing..." Was he complimenting her? She did look amazing tonight, she knew that. Then again, maybe - like her - he was just desperate for a good lay.

Her body hadn't stopped moving during their conversation. She didn't plan on them talking for long, though, and so before he could answer she leaned down again left lingering kisses along that strong jaw line.

He found himself leaning into the kiss she landed on his lips. He'd tried to compliment her but she hadn't stopped moving the entire time.

"So if there were more witches that were swarming, how would you have gotten my attention then?"

He had been flattered by her assumption and she obviously knew her way around the scene, but what would she have done if there was an ounce of competition. Would she have still gone after him? Or simply look for another loner at the bar looking for a way to forget his problems.

Shrugging, Eliza thought for a moment, moving back from him just the slightest bit to take his body in. He didn't seem entirely comfortable in his skin, which seemed weird to her for someone who was definitely at least like a decade older than her. Shouldn't you have that sort of shite figured out by your 30's? Finally answering his question honestly she said, "I might not have bothered. Who wants to fight through hordes of desperate club kids, right? Especially girls who don't know a wing-tip liner from cat-eye glasses," she refocused and continued, "but besides, I wouldn't have had to fight through them either way. You would have found me," she cocked her head flirtatiously. "Isn't that right?"

She leaned down again, this time moving so that her legs caged one of his, with one of her thighs between his own. "You would have picked the fae out of the crowd, if you're so desperate to give yourself over to one..." She kept the running in-joke going, liking how powerful it made her feel. If taking Milo's orders on her knees had been a power trip of another kind, this was doing all sorts of different wonderful things to her, too.

Who had kicked this poor guy? He didn't seem to have her confidence or experience, and that made her sad for him. Eliza knew not everyone spent their 20-somethings sleeping with every willing, attractive partner they could find, but she also just couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't. Eliza felt she was currently the hottest, most free, thinnest most attractive she'd ever be in her life right now. This night. Tomorrow night. Just a few hours shy of turning 23 years old. So why not enjoy it while she could, right?

“I would have found you.” He smirked knowing that she’d understood he somewhat clunky joke. “You have an aura about you. It’s hard to ignore and I would give myself over wholly.” He liked that she had him pinned. He noticed her dressed rising up higher, unable to move from underneath her.

She was downright hot straddling him and whispering into his ear. It felt like torture having someone like this teasing him in the middle of crowded bar. Was he in control enough to say they should get out of herb He wasn’t sure so poured himself another whiskey swirling the bottle to offer her another glass.

Ah, yes. She had him. She knew it. She whispered again, "Let's go to your place." It wasn't a question.

She'd hardly been here an hour, and she knew she was leaving Roxy to her own devices, but she had warned her friend at least. Besides, she hardly knew Molly Sue. They'd been a couple of years apart, different Houses... It wasn't rude. And Kieran hadn't been part of the party at all. It was fine.

She took his hand and stepped back, let him stand and get himself settled, then lead him through the VIP area. She waved to Molly Sue with an enthusiastic shout of "Happy Birthday, Molly Sue!" as they passed where she sat. Passing Roxy, chatting with her brother Fred, she waved to both of them and mouthed "Goodnight" with a sneaky, sharp smile.

She pulled him to the apparation point near the coat room and wrapped her arms around him. "Kidnap your fairy, Keiran, take me home," she said into his chest.
