Unhappy (Ariel)

The last thing Macklyn wanted to be doing was to be hunting down the little mermaid. He wanted to encounter her on happier terms, see her and discover how she might be doing in this new place. He didn't want to have to wash her brain of everything that Eric had told her.

Of course, that's what he was doing.

Finding people when they had a bit of his blood in them was a lot easier, which she did not have, but he'd at least learned what her mind felt like, so he had that. It was more like finding a needle lost in the middle of a stitch, instead of a haystack.

Macklyn spied her red hair in the park, and he watched her for a moment, trying to figure out the best approach. Hoping that this was the end of the line. Hoping that he wasn't going to have to find others.

Another encounter (Eddie and later Tony)

The joy of seeing Tony and getting to spend time with him uninterrupted had not at all gotten old. It was just the need for food and other items for continued existence that had them leaving the safety of the apartment. Annie decided to take some time and try to find Megan, Fred, and everyone else. She also wanted to do a little shopping, maybe find Tony something small. Find herself something a little skimpy to wear while she gave him whatever small thing she found.

That thought made her smile a bit, and she tried to hide it though she was sure nobody was really looking. Annie hadn't exactly had naughty thoughts in that vein about anybody before. Her ex-boyfriend hadn't really inspired them in her. Everything about Tony did, though. It was nice to have somebody in her life that not only enjoyed her abilities, but was impressed by them.

"Jarvis? Does Tony enjoy silly little baubles?" She looked in the window of the store she was in front of. "Nevermind. That's a stupid question. I know what to get him."

He liked intriguing inventions and new tech. Annie wasn't about to get him a stupid little glass frog. Girliness had taken her over for a brief moment. She'd go to her shop and see what she might be able to put together. If she did it in her lab, he might walk in.

So first things first, skimpy outfit. She needed to go back to that boutique, they had been able to help her out. Annie wasn't quite up to par with picking out fashion yet.

Still moping (Peter)

Talking with the cop had done some good, Aidan thought. It was nice knowing there were people out there that could help. Or ... well, thought they could help anyway. Officer Crews had been under the impression that he was speaking with a junkie, and had imagined that he knew what to do to help said junkie. While Aidan knew he was technically going through withdrawals exactly like a traditional addict, his were a bit more dangerous, and the source of his needs were more damaging to the outside world. When he imbibed, everyone he encountered was then in incredible danger of not being alive anymore. Even to get his particular drug meant the death of another.

He was doing moderately okay on the blood bags, but was still consuming more a day than he would like. Really, anything more than two or three wasn't okay. He liked it much better when he was down to one. One a day, two if he was going to be doing something that might inspire lust or... anything along those lines.

Aidan hadn't sought out Evey again, not wanting to see her smiling face in the midst of his anguish. He was sure she was probably pissed off at him for it. Hurt. And the other Evey? The one who had seen him at his worst? Who had helped him through? Shame kept him from her.

His skin itched to leave the house and hunt down a source of live blood. His brain swam with everything he'd been going through. To make it worse, Aidan couldn't even relax into a book. He devoured them as if they were his true weakness, and everything in them stuck like glue. He'd never been dumb, of course, but he'd also never sped through a novel in under two hours.

The couch, his go-to haven, seemed to have begun to be molded in one spot to his butt. Aidan shifted, trying to find that sweet spot. He'd need a new couch in not too long.

Tests and Friends (Dee)

The only logical step after settling into his new existence, Hannibal knew, was to enter the world again and see what it thought of what had happened. See if, in fact, it even noticed the difference. He wondered if it would. If Clarice Starling would look at his hand again and see the addition of the finger. He hoped she would. He hoped that she was the sort that was observant on that level. Hannibal had much faith that she was. He wondered if Erik would see that his beloved friend was not wholly dead. That just the body was gone. This he wasn't quite so sure on. Erik might see the finger, but he might rebel against the rest of it. There was one person that Hannibal was quite sure would see all.

He sought out Dee at her lovely confectionery shop. The feeling she would be there was not one borne out of hope, but knowledge. She had a store to run. It was logical that she would be there in the middle of the day to greet her customers. The fact that she genuinely seemed to enjoy it only solidified that for him.

Though, there was hope for another matter entirely. In his hand, Hannibal held a rather nice looking basket. Inside held a fine wine. White, because it was day and day deserved something light, and because it matched the gourmet cheese and crackers that were also nestled inside. Very carefully, there was no meat. Hannibal planned to ask Dee if she would like to spend some time in the park with him. There was nobody in this place who knew him as truly as she did, and he wished to speak with her at length about what she knew and what changes she might see.

Who she was had also piqued his own interest. He wished to know more about her, as well.

The door opened smoothly, a little bell daintily ringing, and Hannibal stepped into Death By Sweetness, his senses flooded with the delicious baked goods Dee's hands had created.

Taking the heat (Eric/Selina log)

"....and he deserves so much better than you. I can't even begin to guess what exactly he sees in you! You're a monster!" Selina shouted. She stood confidently before the hybrid, hands on her hips and her eyes narrowed. She used to fear him, back when things had been much simpler and they were all forced to exist together. Oh but now...now the rules had changed and Selina was done playing all of the games that entailed being nice to the Dark Avenger. She didn't care who or what he was anymore because in her eyes he was nothing. And she didn't mind telling him that, either.

Though she knew that he didn't need her approval, but she hoped the words stung anyway. Because to her they were true.

Eric had come to the warehouse looking for Effie. He was unaware that the girl had passed; there had been nothing to name her directly as the victims in the dinosaur attack on Main Street, and the red-head assumed too much about himself. Eric had not divulged a breath of information to the girl and yet she seemed to have ideas of her own that needed to be stopped. Protecting Macklyn was priority number one, and Eric couldnt let Effie spread the word, even if it was a rumor. His journey to the warehouse was with the intent to kill the girl and silence her forever. She was not the friend he had once known and thus that made her expendable when it came to the hierarchy of importance.

But instead of the red-head, Eric happened upon the brunette instead. She had asked him what he was doing there, and after a brief explanation that alluded to being curious as to Effie's whereabouts, Selina asked about Ben. Eric explained that they weren't living together anymore, that they had been through what most in a relationship came across.

And it was then Selina decided she couldn't hold back anymore.

Apparently she had been packing things into boxes, Effie's things left in the warehouse that would go back to Arkham to be with her father. But that could wait. A more interesting thing had happened into the scene and Selina was going to take full advantage of it.

"I'm glad Ben came to his senses and kicked you out. Maybe you should try not to be so hateful and intimidating. You know that nobody likes you, right? Nobody on that island gave two pieces of crap about you and this proves it!"

Eric really wanted to kill the woman just to get her to shut her mouth. He was tired of her and had been for a long time, but he wouldn't to anything to hurt any more of Macklyn's friends. So he just stood there and waited until she was finished before he left without a word for his own defense. Maybe she was right, maybe Macklyn did deserve better. Maybe Macklyn should have just let him die there in the jungle, but Macklyn hadn't. And they were soulmates. That had to count for something, right?

His next stop was the hospital. Eric didn't know how to hunt, he hadn't needed to considering Macklyn had always been there to help with the bloodlust. And now, without his mate, Eric was stuck fending for himself. He wouldn't let himself starve and wither away as much as he wanted to, it wouldn't benefit anyone and least of all Macklyn. He didnt want to cause Macklyn any more pain. So he intended to go to the local hospital next and help himself to their store of blood packets. He could only hope they could stave off the hunger until he and Macklyn worked things out.

Eternity was quite a long time to be mad at each other, but Eric was taking it one day at a time for now.
