Dangerous Liasons (Tony)

Enigma's heels made clicking sounds as she stalked though the floor to Tony's office, ignoring the fact she probably shouldn't have been there considering how many security boxes she had to pick or just basically short circuit. She was tired of getting things second hand, and decided to go straight to the source to decide her future...and Bruce's future.

She opened the door of Tony's office, shutting and locking the door before crossing over to his desk, sliding up on it, resting her heeled feet on the arm of his chair, smirking down at him. “Been a while, Mr. Stark. I see you've gotten cozy with my boyfriend...to the point of inviting him to move in. Something I should know?”

She crossed one leg over the other, ignoring how high the skirt of her...dress slid up. "Care to offer a girl a drink? I'll have scotch."

Promises (Jo)

Jesse was nothing if not a man of his word. It might take him time, occasionally, to follow through with it, but he always did. He didn't like to be called a liar, and the best way to avoid that was to do what he said he was going to do. So once he decided that Zoe was well enough to last more than a few hours without him at her side, he went in search of Jo.

He had promised Jo that he would show her what he looked like on the inside.

Very few people had been witness to it, but Jo seemed like the sort who could truly appreciate it. He didn't need to look that way, he knew, but it was a piece of Genesis, so it was a piece of him now. And truth be told, it seemed like it might be a fun thing to show off occasionally. Just to see the reaction.

He made sure to find Jo when she was alone, and in an area where the public couldn't just wander upon them randomly. It turned out to be a little house with a white picket fence. Not exactly the sort of place that he'd imagined she would occupy. But the feeling he got from it was that it was her house. She lived there.

Jesse appeared in the living room and looked around. The inside seemed more Jo-ish, but still not completely. He wondered if she'd just moved in. He was glad that he'd put out his cigarette before appearing. He doubted she wanted smoke-stink all over her... was that a couch doily?

Detour (Narrative)

As Alfred navigated through the midnight Gotham streets, Bruce Wayne tugged his tie free of its collar. He'd left the ladies at the gala to enjoy themselves, after having given instructions to the staff at the hotel to quietly arrange for transportation to... wherever it was that they'd end up going after their revels were ended. There was work ahead of him, and he was eager to begin. Now that his duty as Bruce Wayne was complete, the night unfolded.

He rubbed the back of his neck briefly, but when he dropped his hand and looked up again, he wasn't in his car. Alfred wasn't driving. He was, in fact, at home in Wayne Manor, sitting instead in a chair -- a chair that he promptly overturned in his swiftness to stand. Before it fell, he caught the back and set it back under the table again. What had just happened? Had he been drugged?

He felt no side effects whatsoever. Pressing his back against the wall of his dining room, Bruce edged to the doorway and looked quickly around the corner. Nothing. No one. Cautiously, he slid into the next room and cleared it -- then the next -- then upstairs... his bedroom... his study. Nothing.

At last he called, tentatively, "Alfred?"

The man appeared a moment later, smiling. "Master Bruce? It's good to see you again." And for the next two hours, Alfred patiently explained just where he was.

Produce: where real drama happens (Wash)

While she wasn't at one hundred percent, the Amazon was doing pretty good. She had finally gotten out of her apartment, with a promise to Jesse that she wouldn't patrol a few more nights. Of course, Zoe wanted to do just that - get back out and patrol. She felt as if she was letting the people of the City down. The City had lasted a while without an active Bat, yet she felt she was needed. Alfred had seemed okay with the idea of her staying home, and they weren't overly upset at work. Then again, things were a little odd when it came to timetables and the City.

So, as a reward for being such a good nurse, even if he could have fixed her right up and sent her on her way, Zoe was cooking dinner for the Cowboy God. She was even going so far as to buy a few fruits that she'd never tried and was rather certain Jesse hadn't; they would do a little experimentation. He was making her more adventurous. Or more relaxed. It wasn't that she'd never had someone like that around, but she'd pulled herself in not long before coming to the City. She'd become very reserved; she was beginning to loosen up.

Zoe nudged the strange pink and green fruit around, listening to the older woman gab on about the things one could do with a dragonfruit. The warrior woman was considering a few things to do, but she was being polite. There were other fruits, and the older woman had been rather helpful on those; Zoe felt she owed the seemingly lonely woman an ear. She even nodded now and then when it seemed right.

The smile on her lips was slight, but it wasn't condescending or nudging toward a smirk. She hadn't seen the red haired giant in a while, so she wasn't afraid of getting attacked by kissing freaks. She hadn't even seen signs of the Joker in grocers', so she was feeling relaxed. What could possibly go wrong in the produce department of the local supermarket?

She regretted that thought as soon as it had been made.
