The Tube is really getting ridiculous. It broke down three times on the way home today. I suppose I'm truly a Londoner now. |

This Christmas festival certainly seems overwhelming but wonderful at the same time. So many lights and songs; I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.
Then again, the same could be said of a great deal of things in this world. |

I admit, I never thought to find myself so comfortable in this new life. And yet here I am, enjoying it.
Granted, if Merry and Pippin could sample the inventory just slightly less, it probably would help a great deal with keeping the customers happy. That being said, the dancing on the tables has sort of become our niche.

You know what? Life is good. Life is really, really good. And I'm not just saying that because I've learned about fondue. I have got to try this someday. An entire meal based around dipping things into cheese mixed with beer. Clearly, there is a Maker, and he likes me.

That certainly was an exciting party; I believe it is safe to say we seldom have gatherings like that in Rohan. My congratulations to the fortunate couple as well.
With the Pub closed for the week though, I fear I have very little to occupy my time. What is there to do in this world? |

This place is certainly strange, but I shall make the best of it. Merry, would it be all right if I was to work in your establishment for awhile? I'm afraid I have no idea how one dances with poles, and I have no wish to learn.
I did not care for the looks that man gave me one bit.
I think it'd be best to find somewhere else to stay. |

I've seen a lot of people in various stages of drunkenness in my time, but being able to tell how drunk someone is by how many things they have floating around their head is new. Very useful, however. Makes it easy to tell who we shouldn't be serving anything more to. Also what sort of drunk they are, the sort who's pleasant company or the sort who breaks furniture if you look at him wrong.
Plus all the beer seems to have neverending foam! |

Oh how have the tables turned and so ironic an end did Fate bestow upon me. I have entered combat in hopes of dying a brave in battle, and now I am most certain that I have died, and this strange place I now find myself in is surely purgatory, where my soul shall remain trapped for all eternity, in a world where my valour goes unnoticed and the inhabitants seem to believe that I am able to sing anything other than songs of mourning.
This must be my punishment for acting in so foolish and reckless a manner, and only because I was scorned by a man. |
