[After several more small explosions and fires from Hydracula's cooking area, they have managed to come up with some . . . things to present.

COURSE ONE: Overly blackened pan-fried slug slices served over deep-fried cabbage that appears to be both burned and soggy.

COURSE TWO: A pile of deep-fried river lizard, slug, and mushroom. Most of the river lizard is woefully undercooked, and the mushroom is fairly singed. The slug is still slimy in spite of frying attempts. More than a few pieces appear to have been fried multiple times. (The safety of the mushrooms is also in question.)

COURSE THREE: sugared salted slugs. :D Complete with lightly salted berries on the side.]

Re: DELPAVO

[Pavo's appetizer is a delicately arranged platter of slug sashimi. The near-translucent slices are laid out delicately on a bed of thinly sliced cabbage, amid fragrant and colourful flowers that compliment the bright yellow of the slug's skin. Each piece glistens with the finest dusting of salt. ]

[The main dish appears to be slug-and cabbage patties, held together during cooking by the slug's own slime. They've been fried at high heat, turning the outside a crispy golden brown. There's been quite a bit of pepper added to drown out the other tastes give it a more robust flavour, and just enough salt to round the dish out.]

[And finally, for dessert, Slug meat was cut into spears, and cooked in wine until the wine (and a goodly amount of the slug flavour) had bolied away. The resulting spears (meat now dyed red, skin golden from where a brief flare of fire crisped it) were rubbed down with fresh mint leaves for flavour, and each wrapped with a knotted slice of cabbage.

While the alcohol from the wine may have boiled (or combusted) away, the soporific effect of the berries used to make it still remains. Hopefully, when you wake, the whole meal will have faded to no more than a distant (if very attractive) nightmare.]

Re: Bunnycorn

The appetizer is a rather ... mysterious looking juice, which has been made from crushed slugs, squashed lettuce, and anything else remotely healthy they have stored up. There are little eyestalks floating in it as well. The result is healthy, but not particularly tasty.

The main course is smoked slug, fresh of the skewer, served on a bed of fried cabbage. Both have been salted, and there's just a hint of pepper in the cabbage. The juices from both the slugs and the cabbage mingle on the bottom of the plate.

The dessert is a murky brown bowl of salty, sweet sludge of varying tastes, textures, and toxicities. It is composed of dissolved slug, chunks of bearbee, and what is best described as somewhat-fermented demon-pocket-goop, served chilled. It is not particularly well-mixed or presented, though Mao is now attempting to stealthily garnish it with a jar of pederpes(?) eyes just after time has been called.

[It is Cepheon's pleasure today to present a delightful treat for the discerning palate:

The first course, lightly grain-breaded mushrooms fried until golden with a warmed slug and onion puree for dipping on the side. (Served with a garnish of cabbage).

The second course, sauteed slug, wrapped in thinly sliced and lightly pan-fried salted pederpes meat (possibly belonging to the same genus as bacon or prosciutto). A side of golden-brown potato pancake with wild garlic and onion. Served with a flavourful jus du pederpe.

And for dessert, watermelon slices and berries served with honey candied slug, drizzled with a honey-berry fusion.

All quite delicious... should you like the taste of slug meat. :|a]

Re: LYVUS

[Lyvus’s appetizer is a smoky slug chowder, with sauteed onions, mushrooms, and cabbage in a heavy, creamy soup base. It’s garnished with pepper, chives, and crumbled bacon, suspended on top of the soup. On the side, you have triangular slices of potato-chive toast for dipping.

The main course is made up a trio of the largest stuffed mushrooms Lyvus could find. The first is salty, stuffed with cabbage, onion, and sauteed slug. The second is peppery, stuffed with slug that has a smoky taste, and paired with bamboo shoots and crispy pederpe meat. The third is flavored with chives and potato, mashed with the slugs, with an almost buttery texture from bacon fat and milkweed. The mushrooms are knife-notched in delicate patterns, and displayed on a bed of blanched bamboo that has been weaved into a pattern but is still edible as a palate cleanser.

The dessert is deep-fried slug fritters. They’re sweet and chewy pieces of dough (that nonetheless still taste . . . like slug, but what can you do), and served with a berry-and-slug compote jelly for dipping. Suspended in the compote are crushed geranium petals, and the fritters themselves are presented on a bed of multicolored geraniums.]

[The courses Ink and Miranda lay out are simple, but actually smell rather good.

The first is a seasoned fish, seared lightly and seasoned to taste with gathered herbs and spices. The chips are actually well fried and artistically sliced slugs. They have been salted liberally after the frying.

The second course is a simple stir fry, a hearty mix of ingredients. While the cabbage and berries seem to have blended into the background with generous cuts of lizard, fish and jerky, several berries stand out brightly as well as garnish decorating the bowl.

Time ran a little short with dessert, so the girls opted to make it a show rather than a dish. The bright yellow slugs have been arranged in a spiraling pattern with green shoots accenting the curves and red berries drawing out the color.]

[Well, it took basically all of the supplies he's hoarded up from his working-for-Ophi days, but Watanuki's put out a nice spread.

The appetizer is slug tempura, fried in light batter and arranged on a bed of fresh-cut cabbage. It's been seasoned lightly with salt and pepper and a light dab of lizard fat, and smells quite tasty. For the main course, he's made escargot chowder -- thick potato-y soup with onions and chives for seasoning. the grain flour used to thicken the soup is a bit coarse, but that only adds to the richness of the soup in this case. He's also cut -- and then cooked -- cup-sized bowls from potato halves. the chowder will be served in said bowls.

Finally ... the dessert:

Using Jace's icing skills, milk, and their supply of bearbee blood, Watanuki has managed ice cream again. One scoop has been topped with the very last of his chocolate, the second with grenadine, and the third with a carmel-eqsue syrup made from the bearbee blood itself. True whipped cream is impossible, but some careful work with shaved ice and sugar has formed an acceptable substitute topping. Similarly, the cherry is not a real cherry, but rather a carefully carved ball of apple leftover from the Pokemon game, coated in a thin layer of ice dyed red with grenadine. The slug itself is similarly frozen -- the ice is clear but quite sturdy, making sure to keep the sluggy taste locked inside the ice and far away from the ice cream itself.

Everything smells absolutely delicious. Except for the ice cream, anyway.]
