I've been spending time basking in the 200 drabbles that the magical ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) jule1122 & tweedygal wrote for us for the 100th celebration here.
I'm not all the way through them but I've read thru #75 for each of them and I must say that these are some of the best drabbles I've ever read.

It's hard for me to believe, but this is our last set! I'm a little sad, to be honest. This project has been a huge part of my fandom life for months now and I'll miss it. Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I know that Jule and I both appreciate that so much. I'm behind on responding, but I'll get there eventually. &hearts to all of you!

91. Blue Lights
Blue Agony
Lights flashed blue against Ted’s face as he roamed the crowd at Babylon, highlighting the wild throng. He watched men kissing, men writhing and moaning against each other, men dancing gleefully. They made him jealous and angry, wishing he could be as carefree and happy as they seemed.
When he spotted them, obvious in their drug-induced, frenzied dancing, he took a deep breath and headed their way. Thrilled to see him, they giggled and laughed and happily handed over a vial. Ted glimpsed Justin and Emmett below. Fighting back nausea, he pocketed the drugs, blue lights illuminating his pain.

Challenge #91: Blue Lights
Piece of Home
Justin’s dreams are tinged with blue. It is the color of discovery, of hope and healing, and of sadness. His favorite memories are drenched in blue. So are some of his worst, but that makes the others all the sweeter. He wakes up every morning half expecting Brian to be sleeping next to him bathed in blue light.
When Justin finally gets his own apartment, he takes the old blue lights out of storage and mounts them above his bed. He knows Brian will probably laugh and tell him he’s ridiculously sentimental, but he doesn’t care. They feel like home.

Dazed, Brian made his way back to Justin, spreading himself over him and tangling his fingers into his hair. His mouth sought Justin's; probing, begging silently for him not to say a word. All he wanted to was feel Justin beneath him, warm and welcoming.
Now that Stockwell was on to them, now that he'd surely lose his job, maybe lose everything, he needed to finish this.
He pushed slowly back into Justin, deepening the kiss. Justin moaned in response, tightening around him. Then Brian fucked Justin like nothing had interrupted them; like nothing else mattered, which was perfectly true.

Justin looked at Gus sharply, wondering where this was coming from. “My dad hates me because I’m not the man he wanted me to be. Being gay is part of that. Why?”
“I need to tell Dad something, and I’m not sure what he’ll say,” Gus bit his thumbnail, looking so much younger than fifteen.
“He knows you’re straight, Gus,” Justin said gently.
“Really?” Gus sounded surprised and relieved.
“Brian just wants you to be happy. We both do,” Justin reassured him. “He could never hate you,” which was perfectly true.

Justin was almost asleep when he heard them. Slow, so-nearly-silent footsteps, stopping outside his door. He closed his eyes, heart beating rapidly in his chest, and opened them again as the door opened. His dick was already rock-hard, and he licked his lips as Brian approached.
"Don't say a word," Brian said quietly, unbuttoning his jeans as he made his way toward the narrow bed. Justin shook his head quickly, throwing back the quilt as he stood. Brian stared at him for a long moment before Justin smiled, almost shyly, and then slid down to Brian's cock.

Melanie couldn’t believe she was doing this. Defending Brian. He was in deep this time, and even she was surprised at how careless he had been. She’d get him off; it was just like she told him, his history proved he didn’t need to threaten anyone to get his piece of ass. But she wanted him scared enough that he never did anything so stupid again.
Sometimes Melanie really did hate Brian. She hated the way Lindsay acted around him. But she loved Gus more than anything in this world. She’d do anything for her son even help his father.

Rolling his eyes, Justin ignored him.
“...you said Is there anything which is dead or alive more beautiful than my body?” Brian quoted. “See? I’m the perfect subject.”
“Wow. You can quote e.e. cummings.” Justin was unimpressed. He began to read, “...they do whatever’s in their pants, the boys I mean are not refined.”
Justin laughed. “I think I’ll paint that.”

Gay Duty
Brian stormed into the loft. “I can’t take any more of this fucking shit.”
Justin laughed. “You’ve said that every day. I thought you were glad the trial would end today. Where’s the chirpy Brian that left this morning?”
Brian gritted his teeth. “I’ll show you chirpy. Hell, I’ll show you fucking blissful, sunny -- all of it. The trial’s not over because everyone else is a fucking idiot!”
“Be glad you're fulfilling your civic duty.”
“I’d rather be fulfilling my gay duty and fucking your ass,” Brian said.
Justin licked his lips. “I think that can be arranged,” he grinned.

“Emmett, shut the fuck up,” Brian interrupted him mid story, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. “Do you have to be so God damn chirpy in the morning?”
“Chirpy? Is that like the gay version of perky?” Emmett asked. “Just be glad I have a sunny disposition, and we aren’t all hung over grouches like you.”
“I am not hung over; I’m recovering from a night of chemically induced blissful oblivion.”
Justin rolled his eyes as he stopped by to refill their coffee. “The bitch Anita got him again.”
“Fuck off,” Brian grumbled while Emmett laughed.

Brian swatted angrily at the fake cobwebs festooning the diner.
"Christ, Deb. It's barely October. Can't you spare us the tacky decor a little longer?"
"Put a sock in it, Scrooge." Deb said as she breezed past.
"Wrong holiday. And if you put up Christmas decorations before December, I'm never coming back."
"Promises, promises," Deb groused.
Brian grimaced as he tasted his coffee and wondered again why he kept coming back to the diner.
Just then, Justin emerged from the back, tying his apron. He walked by Brian's booth and flashed him a smile.
Brian's coffee suddenly tasted much better.

The More Things Change
The booths were purple now, but the menu hadn’t changed. The customers were still rude, and the tips still sucked. But the shifts felt longer, and the trays were harder to lift. Carl was after her to retire again, and the unfamiliar faces in the post-Babylon crowd made retirement look good.
But then a scared young boy would come in, and Debbie thought of Sunshine and Jason Kemp. So she did what she did best. She made him laugh and gave him a hot meal on the house. Then she hoped he’d come again, ready to listen to her advice.

I am so excited to finally be posting these! I have been on pins and needles since jule1122 first came to me with this idea, which I thought was *brilliant.* I love ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) qaf_drabbles and its mods, happier_bunny, bookgirl24 and faile02 are amazing people. I was so excited to for Jule to ask me to participate with her and to write a drabble for every prompt. It was a HUGE challenge, but it was also just about as much fun as I've ever had in fandom. A huge thanks goes out to brianslave68 for making our great banners and giving me some awesome ideas and to Jule for all her beta skills. Finally, I wasn't totally able to keep this a secret. My darling besamislabios knew pretty much from the start. I knew I wouldn't be able to do it without telling her and she became my lifeline, helping me with ideas, suggestions for improvement, ENCOURAGEMENT and just by being there for me to whine/squee/moan to. She's the absolute best and these drabbles would be nothing without her.
1. Porn: Sex toys
It's All About Sex
Sex toys fascinated Justin. Of course, sex fascinated Justin period. Adding toys just made it that much hotter and fueled his fantasies. If he thought about handcuffing Brian to the head of the bed and fucking his restrained body, he'd come so hard it almost hurt.
His favorite toys were dildos. The first time Brian fucked him with one, he came before it was even all the way in. This idea would have stayed an idea if the wonderful tweedygal had agreed to write with me, beta for me, and encourage me. Her enthusiasm and talent were incredibly inspiring. brianslave68 was kind and generous enough to make the beautiful banner.

Fast Learner
The first time he left a dildo out on the bed, Justin blushed. Brian smirked, then fucked him with the dildo until he was begging to come.
Justin couldn't look him in the eye when he brought out the restraints and talked about boundaries and safe words. Brian pretended not to notice when Justin slipped the blindfold into his bookbag the next morning.
