I think it actually makes quite a coherent song, amazingly. If you want to take a guess at the titles and artists, go ahead. I'll post the answers tomorrow. I will say my iTunes loved a couple bands quite a bit. These two bands came up three times each. Everyone else just appears once, I think.

In a fandom where most of the fic is slash, we maybe have a little bit more of an awareness of HIV and AIDS than your average human being. That's not nearly enough.

When it's wet, our porch stairs out back are hellaciously slippery, and this time of year they're also covered in kinda slimy leaves.

This is a recipe disaster, especially for someone like me, who took to falling down stairs the way some people take to musical instruments. I fell down the stairs, I hurt my ankle, wrist, and somehow my ribs, although I fell on my ass. Basically, the muscles along my ribs, hips and pelvis hurt like hell whenever I breathe, move, or laugh. For a while I couldn't put on pants without shooting pains in my hip, but thankfully that seems to have passed.

ARGH.

Heh heh heh, you don't want to know how much I love that song. Or how totally un-ironic my love for it is. Or how much of a dick I look like bouncing crazily around the living room whenever it comes on.

Exciting news! Thanks to the wonder of generosity and helpfulness that is bridgetmkennitt I have a website! I am extremely gleeful about this! Seriously, I'm feeling all inspired about fandom and writing again. I would link you to said website but it's not quite functional as yet. Getting there, though! Stay tuned.

Also, today I sucked it up and bought some speakers for the computer. It already has shitty speakers on the monitor but I was missing the lead to connect them and after a looong looong time of saying, "I should find out where I can get that lead!" (I don't listen to music or watch DVDs on the computer so it wasn't THAT big a deal) I finally said, "Fuck it!" and spent twenty bucks on some speakers. They're quite good, too.

And: summer non-ratings period! Which means lots of new shows to try. There's a whole bunch of stuff starting this week. Best thing, though, is Fringe is back from tonight, yay!

ETA: Sometimes I really wish I didn't use! So! Many! Exclamation! Marks! I don't know. It's what I do. Heh, I just edited some out. Plenty left, though. That's me, I guess. Super! Enthusiastic! :gags:

Well, not yet. But the Liberals and the NDP are joining forces in an attempt to overthrown Stephen Harper's minority Conservative government.

The NDP and Liberals have reached a deal to topple the minority Conservative government and take power themselves in a coalition, CBC News has learned.

A deal has been negotiated between NDP Leader Jack Layton and Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion that would see them form a coalition government for two and a half years, the CBC's Keith Boag reported, citing sources.

The NDP would be invited into cabinet and get 25 per cent of seats, Boag said, adding that the party wouldn't get the position of the finance chair or the deputy prime minister's post.

"That's the big step forward tonight," Boag reported.

The Bloc Québécois wouldn't be a part of the coalition, but would have to support it, he said.

"The most difficult question is who'll be the leader," Boag said, adding that Dion, who negotiated the deal, believes he has the right to be prime minister.

Opposition parties say they have lost confidence in the government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper after Thursday's economic update by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty failed to provide a stimulus package for Canadians.

Since then, the Liberals have been in negotiations to form a coalition with the NDP, and the concessions made by the Conservatives this weekend have done nothing to change the party's view that Harper must go.

There's one week to go to a non-confidence vote.

Will the Conservatives be able to wiggle out of this one? I doubt it.

We have a ton and I really just want to get them out of the house. At first we were planning on separating them all out and putting them up on eBay separately, but that is just not happening, so at this point I'm thinking maybe I could sell them in a lot.

There are numerous small and medium sets of medieval, pirates, outer space, underwater, archeologist, etc. themes. There's also several small and medium Star Wars sets and two or three of the Time Twisters set (including the train pictured and a larger set as well), which is a very neat theme that I really loved. There's also a bunch of Bruce's old legos from when he was a kid (I already sold mine long ago) and a 1200 piece tub. Aside from Bruce's old ones, all or almost all of them have instructions (though I think the box pictures is the only box we have left). Some have already been separated out into sets and put in baggies. Some of Bruce's old ones have some wear and tear, being old and having been actually played with. The others we just bought and displayed, so they're in excellent condition.

If anyone's interested, just ask and I'll be happy to give more details, including exactly the names of the sets, etc. I can take more pictures, too.

I'd like to get $125 (plus shipping), but the price is negotiable.

I read vols 4 and 5 today while cat-sitting. Man, this series just gets better and better. I just wish it came out more often! In the back of vol. 5 it said vol. 6 is supposed to be out early next year. (Actually, I do have chapters 19-23 I could read, and probably will end up doing so, but I still wish it came out faster!) Like Fullmetal Alchemist, this is surprisingly plotty and low on battles, and though it's only on volume five, the plot is already getting lots of nice twists and turns.

And the art! I am in love with Asada Hiroyuk's art almost as much as I am with Obata Takeshi's. ♥

Is anyone else reading it? Apparently it's being scanlated. You should totally check it out.

Is it wrong that I want to find a way to connect Sosai Z[ed] (and how much do I love that if you google "Sosai Z", Google asks you if you meant "Sosai X"?) with Lord Zedd?

Y'all can blame this on Power Rangers Take Flight, which is Joe Rovang's "Jetman into Power Rangers" virtual series. There are condors and swallows and swans, oh my! :D And this screen cap, which is an entrance the Gatchaman team used plenty of times (it was in their credits, even).

...I have a bit of room in my brain to deal with other things. Which isn't to say that I'm DONE, but I can at least write about writing a bit, and work some things out :P

...man, I haven't updated my To Do list in a billion years. Go me.

ANYWAY, here's the state of things.

My Live Long and Marry story is getting close to the 30,000 word mark, but it's slowly moving forward. CHRIST.

My Novel is a further 42,000 words (I split my time between these two for NaNo, and only wrote about 10,000 words of the LLnM in the month, so it's fair, I think). It's not at all close to being done, maybe a third of the way through? I'm going to keep motoring along with it, and I love it, so yay.

I started my Yuletide story yesterday and I'm reasonably happy with what I've decided to do with it. I had a small panic over it yesterday, before I started writing, for reasons I can't go into until after the reveal, but after flailing I got started and I think I've made the right decision.

For No True Pair, I submitted 6 lists, which was extremely overwhelming when I got the results and prompts. There was so much I was interested in, but it kinda made me flee as well, lol. Anyway, I've taken a second look at it, and I've decided what I'm going to do.

I love giving christmas presents. I really, really do. To me, it's the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes of (see what I did there? D'you see? AHAHAHAHAHA--ahem)
