Okay, maybe the beer wasn't exactly traditional.

Whatever! It tasted great. He looked over the spread he'd put out over the couple of tables he'd put side-by-side to create a traditional long table, though this was was far more varied in places when it came to height and weight. Ah well. The white tablecloth hid it well enough, and he was only short a chair. Otherwise, he was free to begin welcoming his dinnermates.

Summary: Noticing a change in behavior, Alana catches Greg and gets him to spill.

Summary: Greg and Alana are hanging out together on a particularly slow day, Greg pops a question -- no, not THE question -- and she discusses it with Zeus. Well, kinda.

Several tables. Piles of clothes, shoes, CDs, tapes, worn out gym equipment. Differing varities of umbrellas to give them shade. And underneath the biggest umbrella, a little table with a deposit box and a six-pack of Budweiser.

Greg leaned back in his lawn chair, kicking up his feet onto the table, and let out a content sigh. Awwwww yeah. This was the ticket.

He heard a whine down below him and stared down into the pathetic puppy dog eyes of not-exactly-a-puppy dog. Hm. "You want a beer, don't you," he said with a stern frown in Bowser's direction.

The dog said nothing, but continued to stare up at him, as if reminding the god that he held his very furry life in his giant hands.

With a sigh, Greg drained more of his hard-earned beer into the dog's bowl. Fine. Drink, eat, be merry, mangey old mutt. While Bowser lapped his way to a buzz, Greg put his sunglasses on and prepared to doze until he heard footsteps.

Well, everything seemed to be in order. There was an awning over some chairs and tables, with one table holding an arrangement of foods that wouldn't be edible to eat for a number of hours as they sat in their containers with ice or flames beneath them. The staff for the catering had already been sent off for the time being, as had any other staff members that had slipped in.

Hera was looking over things, checking that everything was in place for an informal meal. There was little decoration on the tables and surrounding space, with plates in stakes at the end of the buffet table. Fruit, salad, chicken, bread, soup, and a variety of small deserts, with another table holding a variety of cool drinks. Satisfied at the preparation, she looked about checking, that that dog of Melpomene's wasn't sneaking around again, sniffing at all the food. The muse also seemed to have disappeared. Interesting. It mattered little. There would enough other things to see to without bothering over one anti-social muse.

Summary: Relieved to see him alive, V goes over for a visit. The two relax together, looking forward to her baby even as he laments his love life. Gosh they're cute!

It was the Sunday of a long weekend, and to Alana, that meant that you had a party. A barbecue. A celebration. So, she was doing just that. She had no idea how many people would show, so all of the beer and pop and booze and food was stuff that she would eat herself -- and with Herk there, that wasn't an issue -- just in decent quantities. She was also using it as an excuse to play with some drinks that she hadn't done for herself before. While outside was deck chairs, a cooler with cans and bottles, and the grill itself, inside was the bar and stereo system.

Low key and mellow, but still a good time. A mojito in hand, Alana plopped herself down into a chair near Tannia as Pirate explored feet, searching for some dropped burger.

Summary:What starts out as an innocent, jealousy-fueled bout between Teddy and Natal turns into a cruel, hate-fueld battle between Herakles and Atlas. Alana is caught in the middle, which is appropriate as the whole thing is her fault, anyway.
