Cast your dancing spell my way, I promise to go under it

Who: Delia and OPEN
Where: Circean Delight
When: 9:24 PM
What: Costume Ball

As a promise to herself (and because her father pretty much said she had to) Delia was currently dressed up and standing around Circean Delight, a drink clutched tightly in her hand. This must have been her third gin and tonic, because everything was beginning to feel lighter and she had the sudden urge to actually talk to someone. Delia was no wallflower by any means but since she didn't really want to be here, dressed as catwoman no less, it was surprising then that she was starting to feel social.

Definitely the drink, she thought as she downed it and made her way to the bar. The only way she was going to get through this night (and she had to stay the night, another order), was with copious amounts of alcohol, Delia just hoped she didn't run into Danny. "Gin and tonic, please." Placing the empty glass down, she waited for a fresh one and when it was placed in front of her, Delia was determined to sip this one.

And my affection, well it comes and goes. I need direction to perfection.

Who: Delia and Flint
When: 6:30PM
Where: Arete Deck

After spending more than half the day in her room, pointedly ignoring the envelopes stuffed with the evidence of her father's doing, Delia decided to move her work outside. She was sick of staring at the walls of her room and only catching the occasional whiff of salty sea air that blew into her room. Delia had always loved the ocean, so calm and still, yet at the same time angry and dangerous. She loved the duality of it, how it could love you one moment and hate you the next.

Gathering up her things, slipping on a hat and sunglasses, Delia took to the ship. There was a slight aversion to the Sun deck, Delia chose this time to find a bench along Arete Deck and make herself comfortable. At the last moment she scooped up the disgusting images, unsure what she was going to do with them but at the same time, tired of trying to pretend they weren't real.

She settled on a bench facing the ever fading sun and took one long breath before slipping the photos out. Delia could feel her stomach twist and her eyes burn as she flipped through them, shoving them aside when she couldn't take anymore. Her phone rang and her laptop flashed messages at her. Shutting them both off, Delia crossed her legs and closed her eyes behind her sunglasses, letting the sun radiate through her.

Take a Deep Breath

Who: Danny and Delia
When: 6PM
Where: Delia's room
What: A bag of photographs.

It was a question of being able to balance the two: the need to slam her against the wall and force feed her fucking principles through her smiling teeth... or that other thing. )

I'm not sorry I met you, I'm not sorry it's over, I'm not sorry there's nothing to save

Who: Delia and Danny
When: 11AMish
Where: Helios Deck

The ship was huge, there was no denying that and it was definitely grand, the first day had been spent being daughter to an Ambassador, to pretending everything was fine. One big happy family. When in reality Delia couldn't stand being around her father, or her mother. The only ones she could stomach were her brothers and that was because they understood, they were Cole children as well. They shared pain.

Today though, today was all hers and for the moment the work she'd brought along was pushed aside to make room for relaxation. No matter how fleeting it may be. Slowly Delia made her way through the ship, stopping to breathe in the salty sea air and enjoy the sunlight, but only momentarily, she had a destination in mind, a place she hoped would be relatively deserted at this time. Wrapped in a fuzzy bathrobe, Delia slunk on to the Sun Deck and glanced around, making sure there wasn't anyone around before slipping off the robe and settling into a lounger for some much needed sun.
