[ Day 168 ]

Good morning, everyone! Today is the 168th day of the third generation, and it will be cool and clear. The Devil's Compass bar in Sector 5 should be complete and ready to reopen tomorrow, but in the meanwhile, don't forget that the club in Sector 3 is still available for your recreational use.

...Please be aware that an incident has caused an unusual chemical composition to be released into the air of the dome. It should not be dangerous to anyone's health, and I am already in the process of purifying the air, but it will take some time. Try not to... do anything that would be problematic in the long run... [trailing off]

((ooc: Please see this post for details about today's event! Now GO! If your character was expecting a delivery today, expect it tomorrow instead.))

Marian Hawke
[ she has been tossing and turning for at least an hour before she admits defeat, and stares at the ceiling in the darkened room. part of her thinks she should be past this by now -- though an equally emphatic part of her (that sounds a lot like Carver) berates her for thinking she could ever be over Quentin's nightmare.

tonight's dream seemed no different from other nights, but maybe it was the girl, yesterday, talking about her family, that makes Hawke feel like she can't lie still. pushing the covers to the floor, she paces the bedroom, raking her hands through her hair and chewing on her bottom lip. Flemeth croons from her perch, and Hawke steps over to pet the little dragon's scaly head.

that's what she needs. someone else to talk to. she pulls on a camisole and a pair of trousers over her smallclothes, and blows a kiss to Flemeth before stepping out of the apartment. the floor is cold beneath her bare feet, but she doesn't have far to go.

she raps her knuckles on Fenris' door, aware of the time, but distinctly uncaring. ]

Zelgadis Greywars
[The day was tiring, but in a good way. From the moment he woke this morning everything seemed lighter, inexplicably. He'd be more suspicious of that if it weren't such a relief, after weeks of awkward tension, to be able to relax.]

[This morning he'd been easily able to talk himself out of looking for Saber, telling himself all manner of pessimistic things about where that was bound to go. As the day progressed all those reasons seemed less important, until finally he ran out of excuses.]

[He wants to see her. Isn't that enough?]

[It's evening by the time he makes his way home and lets himself in, calling for her before the door is fully open. He's got a few of those pizzas with him, and some coffee from the shop. Whatever they don't finish, Lina will surely take care of.]

Saber? Are you home?

((OOC: Forward dated because I'm leaving the country on Sunday and if I only got one day to tag this log before I leave I might actually die. Also, warning for probable adult-themes finally /o/ ))

Saya Otonashi
[There's a low moan as the video snaps on, a sound of pain, somewhere between human and animal. The image lurches to one side, then the other, finally crashing to the sidewalk. The hospital is in view some distance away, behind her so it's clear she was walking away from it rather than toward.]

[Saya curls up with her back to the wall, knees pulled to her chest, fingers clutching at her head.]
...Please, no. Not again, I don't want to --

[Whatever she's saying is cut off by a growl, her lips parting around extended fangs, eyes glowing an intense red. A slam of her head against the concrete and then her eyes are back to their normal auburn, snarl replaced by panicked fear.]

Zero? ...A-Anri? Someone, please... [her words are cut short again, this time by an abbreviated cry as Saya struggles for control over herself. Just like Vietnam, only this time she's painfully and cruelly aware of the Chiropteran part of her mind that's threatening to take over.]

((OOC: She probably won't attack people unless they attack her first, and certainly no attacks without OOC permission!))

Rebecca Crane
Just a curious little poll for my fellow dome dwellers, just kinda curious about something. I mean, if you've ever been to the computer lab in sector two you might've noticed the intranet set up. Not internet, of course, but it's something. Was wondering if anyone would use it more if it had some... better content? [Oh, she's thinking of a few things.]

... For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, you really need to be introduced to being online. And stat. I might even be able to hook you up sometime.

[so how's it going this fine day of no inhibitions, prisoners of Marina?

Painwheel is meandering—she's been exploring for the past couple of days, finally having even settled on a place for herself. but she's not there, now. right now, she's harmlessly wandering around sector 5, since she hasn't explored as much of it yet.

she's been braving going out more and more, despite her hesitation to be seen. she's feeling less like she has to hide for the sake of not scaring the piss out of everyone. she still seems to be laying a little low, though. no one's really seen her face, save for 3-4 people.

and she's totally unaffected by, if not also completely oblivious of, the gas that's choking up the asylum. without any inhibitions, how does a face like this make you feel?

and even if you aren't affected, feel free to say hi whether or not you know her!]

Cain
[Cain is in a strange mood, to say the least. He's currently going through withdrawal, although he's mostly being medicated for it, and he's noticed in his last few interactions with people that he's dropped his guard. Not that he really cares right now, anyway.]

[He flips on a video feed and smiles]

So I noticed today that there is some increased security regarding your files, and that I am no longer able to check undetected. Being that I am currently completely reliant on Sentience for my medicine, it is probably suicidal to check in. ... Oh, Who am I kidding! That won't stop me. I could pull up personal medical records this time, but it will probably be too boring. There is some sort of ban on sex or something, right?

So no one is carrying anything appropriately disgusting?

[If you want to find him, he's right outside the noodle shop, eating plain rice noodles in a vegetable broth with his fingers. He doesn't usually care what anyone thinks of him, and now it's only worse.]

[[ooc: he's not even near a computer, and he's way too lazy to pull up medical records right now, so he won't, but he wants to see if he can trick anyone into spilling.]]

[the artificial sun rises, and the first bright, buttery rays of the morning slant through the parted curtains of the bedroom window and fall on the three peacefully-sleeping carapacians huddled together under the blankets. WV is on one edge of the bed, with PM on the other side, the both of them with their arms loosely wrapped around AR, in the middle.]

[WV feels himself rising out of the black half-sleep that follows dreams, and lets himself wake up, opening his eyes a little to look at AR's face. He needs a moment to remember why, exactly, AR is with them, but when he does, he smiles, glad that AR has come out of his self-imposed isolation, if only briefly.]

[ordinarily, he might be nervous of AR's reaction if he were to wake up, but somehow that doesn't seem to bother him this morning. Instead, he closes his eyes and gently leans his head against AR's, simply enjoying being close to his friend.]

Subaru Nakajima
[ Subaru isn't sure what it is about the air today. She had hopped right out of bed, skipped the morning announcement and made swift work of breakfast, all just so she could be out and about as soon as possible. Yesterday's acting workshop had taken a bit out of her — she is one to display her emotions openly, but to fake them, even for fun? It was harder than it looked. She definitely found new respect for anyone in that line of work.

Today, she was going to make it up to herself. And, well, make it up to her best friend, too. That's why she had placed the call and now stood outside of the store waiting for Kohran, rocking back and forth on the balls of her sandal-clad feet, the hem of her short blue skirt swishing to and fro as she did so. ]

Sougo Okita » King of the Planet of Sadists
I wish people were nicer.

[Sougo sighs.]

It would be nice if people would understand why I was upset when I was rejected from the Defense Force. They said it was only for the time being, but it's the closest thing to police work in this place. I'm supposed to do police work. It was the path I chose, and my sister was always very encouraging and supportive of me, even when it meant leaving her behind by herself.

I have to do it for her. Everything that happened to her is because of me, and this is how I can make it up to her.

[He starts to speak softer and more quietly, starting to trail off.]

I guess I just thought you should know... Not that I think anyone is listening, because everyone hates me, but I don't have anyone to talk to, and people always say talking about things is a good thing to do. I think it's stupid, though, because it doesn't change anything, and it won't fix what I let happen to my sister...

[ The video switches on but the view seen is shaky, mainly because it is being carried in hand and swinging back and forth. There's silence for a while before the swinging abruptly stops, revealing what looks to be near the Koi pond. The communicator is finally readjusted as he sits and what looks to be a smiling face stares into the screen.

Except, that wasn't ordinary cheerfulness, no--it was more of a sadistic smile, really.
] You're just wasting your time…we're all going to die. We need to. Its the only way…

[ The voice was apathetic, void of any emotion and the hand that is brought into view had blood seeping from the palm, indicating it had been slightly cut. It was clutching a small knife--likely taken from the shelter's kitchen, and the sharp object was being turned over, reflecting a small child's face, and eyes that were dilated. ]

…You can help, if you want to.

((ooc: anyone is welcome to try and snap him out of it but they might be rewarded with verbal or physical resistance. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT MUN'S PERMISSION THOUGH~))
