Just a reminder:
You can only choose THREE icons for each category...yes, each category is divided into two questions because you can only put so many clicky boxes in one question, so we have to divide them up. But each post is ONE category, therefore you can only vote for *THREE* icons for each category.
I've already noticed one person voted for four, so I beg you to go edit your voting. Here's how: Click on the poll # at the top of the poll, on top of it will appear [ Fill out Poll ] [ View Poll Results ] [ Discuss Results ]. Choose [ Fill out Poll ] and change your vote. Easy as that!

After coming in with a bang in 2009 and setting up some new rules and promising contests in March and June, we're finally dragging our asses into gear and having a NEW iconics contest! It's only a few days past June, right? *facepalm*
If you've never had the opportunity to participate in an iconics contest *OR* you just can't remember how it works because we've taken SEVEN DAMN months since the last one, check out the RULES and get to nominating! There are so many great icons out there...I know I found so many lovelies in my quest for an Icon from Every Epiosde recently.
Remember, if an icon was nominated in the previous contest, you cannot nominate it in the current contest. For example, if something is nominated in January, it can't be nominated again until September, whether it won or not.
Let's all get busy and show icon-makers how much we appreciate what they do. Since we have been so lax, we're giving you a little lax time too...you've got TWO WEEKS to make your nominations. I am looking forward to seeing what you like!
Don't forget to check out qaf_icons while you're nominating to find all *kinds* of lovelies!!

The voting is opening late for this contest. I hope you'll forgive me. In an effort to take some of the load off ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) happier_bunny, I am doing the voting polls this contest. Let me tell you, it just gives me a whole new level of respect for her because IT AIN'T EASY! I got the mechanics down yesterday, and actually had a large chunk of time to work on the post, got it *ALL* done and then I couldn't post because of an error that I could *never* find. Bunny checked, couldn't find it either, so my work was for naught. Talk about frustrating.
So, I am trying something different this time and I hope you'll bear with me and that it won't be TOO MUCH of an imposition for you. We're going to have four different voting posts for each contest. There will be one for each category in the contest. That way I can better control the polls and hopefully it will aid in counting votes as well. (and if you hate this or have comments or suggestions, please let me know)
I don't have time right now to do all four posts, but I'll be back later this evening to do the other three if this one works.

Nominations for our January 2009 contest are over...thanks SO MUCH if you participated. After such a long hiatus from our last contest, I'm pleased with the nominations we got for this one.
Voting will open in three days. And yes, anyone can vote. AND...you don't have to have nominated anything to vote. So tell your friends, everyone come vote!
The "polls" will remain open for one week after opening and the winners will be named three days after the "polls" close, or sooner if we can count them faster than that.

Yup! iconics is back! I apologize for the very long delay since our last contest. Bunny got really, really busy and I got really, really lazy and we just put it all off.
In the meantime, we changed a couple of things. First, on nominating icons. Previously, the rule had been that you couldn't nominate an icon if it had been nominated in any of the three prior contests. Now, if an icon was nominated in the previous contest, you cannot nominate it in the current contest. For example, if something is nominated in January, it can't be nominated again until June, whether it wins or not.
And that brings me to the next change. We will be hosting four major contests each year: January, March, June and September. We will occasionally have an "extra" contest with special rules! Sort of bonus contests, if you will.
So, let's get this thing going again and show show those icon-makers out there how much we appreciate what they do. You've got a week to nominate and I am looking forward to seeing what you like!
