Now that I've gotten a new computer and retrieved most of my images I should be able to start up the challenges again. I'm wondering if there's still enough interest to continue with them, so if you're a graphics maker please check out the poll. Thanks!

I've updated the community profile with another rule. Beginning with the next challenge any voting ties will be broken with a second poll that will remain open for 2 days. Apparently the competition around here is pretty tight!
An example of how it will work:
Let's say we have a 3 way tie for second place. I'll put up a voting poll of those three icons. Which ever icon gets the most votes in two days wins second place. The icon with the next highest number of votes wins third place for the challenge.
Also a reminder, please remember to name your icons with 6 characters or less. During the last challenge I had to rename about a quarter of the icons. I renamed them since I don't want to discourage anyone from participating but next time it happens I'm going to respond in the challenge post asking for them to be renamed by the maker.
I haven't forgotten about the header contest I mentioned a while back. I need more time to get the details together, and besides, we may all be busy in the near future with something BIG that's coming to InsaneJournal. ;-)

ATTENTION ICON MAKERS: I've added a new rule for the challenges.
Icon file names must now be 6 characters or less. I regret having to make this rule but I've run into problems with placing the icon links in the voting polls. The links have been more than the maximum allowed characters that can be placed in polls. I've had to spend a lot of time renaming the icons during the first 2 challenges, so I'm now going to require the icon makers to name the icons according to this new rule. After the first challenge I shortened some of my folder names in photobucket to hopefully resolve the problem but then I ran into the same problem during the second challenge.
I have two questions and polls under the cut. Please come take a look!
