After the dishes from supper have been cleared away and the tables levitated to the sides of the Great Hall, the benches are moved to the center of the room. The evening's McGonagall makes her way to the podium as all the students who are participating either by putting them selves up for auction or bidding on a classmate find a seat.
"The first order of business is drawing a ticket for the Firebolt which was kindly donated by Mister Finch Fletchley, the draw raised Hogwarts twelve galleons and six sickles ($124.39 USD FOR THE MUGGLES). The winning ticket belongs to Miss Ginny Weasley! Congratulations. You may pick up your prize at the end of the evening. Let the auction begin!"

"Thank you for all who participated, with this auction we have raised, 100 Galleons 15 sickles 2 knuts ($1015.93 USD FOR THE MUGGLES), for Hogwarts Quidditch Teams! What a fun evening. I hope that everybody will enjoy their 'dates' which of course, are only just on a friendly level. If anybody finds difficulties for ideas on what to do, or have any reason for concern please see your head of house for help.
What a lovely evening! Now everybody has a an hour before curfew, as a surprise, the Hogwarts House Elves have prepared a lovely array of sweets. Help yourself."
The tables pushed to the sides are suddenly filled with pastries and cakes of all sorts.
