Hi! Sneaking in at the last minute here before bedtime! I'm Manx and this game lured me out of RP retirement because of how well put-together and fun it looks.. please forgive me as I get back into the swing of things! :)

Ursula is..

+ a Junior Ribbonfin (who easily would have been a Slytherin)
+ An heiress - she's only mentioned it maybe one or two hundred times - but not a pureblood. She's New Money, if you care about that sort of thing. (She cares about that kind of thing.)
+ Super friendly and excited to meet new people
+ Very ambitious and always looking for a new angle
+ A horrible gossip. Tell her something if you want it to spread like wildfire.
+ A shit stirrer. Ursula has a horrible habit of eagerly telling people all the gossip about them to see how they'll react.
+ A reality TV villain. She really isn't the worst person ever, but oh boy does she misbehave more than enough that she could be edited into the role.
+ Formerly attended Port Prep and was really not thrilled about transferring
+ has a pretty obvious crush on Mr. Chettri

Plotwise..

+ Ursula needs friends! She wants all the friends. She is quite outgoing and just as comfortable socializing with nerds as jocks.
+ I could def see Ursula as a mini Queen Bee - she was super proud to be the most popular girl's fourth best friend back at Port Prep - so maybe a small bestie gang?
+ Enemies! Ursula's behavior has surely ruffled some feathers over the years that she wasn't able to recover from.
+ Maybe an ex-boyfriend or two? IDK. She's dated less since coming to high school since boyfriends can be very distracting and she has Things to Achieve.
+ Ursula is joining LARP this year, so maybe someone to convince her to give it a go? (And probably regret that horribly.)

i'm kay & i already love ursula, just saying

i also have no idea if she'd get along w my only character, zoey. the two are in ribbonfin together, though z is a year ahead. they're semi opposites? or have a lot of opposite characteristics. that said, zoey is kinda hard to rattle & might even be amused by ursula's antics here and there, excepttt if they had to do with the whole tabitha/diego thing. :u

Zoey's outlook on life probably rattles Ursula</a> a lot.. it is so very opposite to her core programming. She tries to be friendly with everyone and understand other viewpoints, but gosh, that's a tough one. Zoey is basically an alien to Ursula.

Ursula wasn't directly involved in the Tabitha/Diego thing, but there is a 100% likelihood that she was talking about it afterwards. Whoops.

Hey Manx, welcome to the game! I'm so glad you decided to join the game. I'm Meggie, and I'm one of the mods! I've got three characters here.

Diego Morales, senior Azurcrest, hipster musician pureblood. Diego is ooooooooooold money out of Argentina, but he's... honestly pretty oblivious to what this means. He's extremely friendly and is always involved in the parties going around the school, but he's also terribly impulsive and insecure. If Ursula's into gossip, she'll know Diego was seeing Tabitha Ogletree last year, then got drunk at a party and cheated on her with Anuhea Alapai. I can offer Diego as an ex for Ursula, but he probably broke it off when he realized she is waaaay too similar to his stepsister, Mina, and it was getting into weird Freud territory.

Reid Wainwright is a junior Coppertale, who comes off as an unfriendly ice prince, but is really just awkward and bad with words and feelings and people and HE'S JUST BAD AT A LOT OF THINGS. Ursula will be able to talk circles around him. He stands no chance against her.

Calvin Evercreech is a Sophomore Ribbonfin, and an exchange student from Hogwarts. Calvin is extremely academically ambitious and always nets great grades, mostly because he's one of those kids who's literally good at school. He used to be a nasty little Slytherin bully, and, well, he's no longer a bully anymore? He's still pretty whiny and unpleasant, but he and Ursula have a shared disdain for Ribbonfin being seen as the pushover house. He's kind of worried all these soft hearted Ribbonfins are going to get stepped on, because the only house loyalty he knows is die hard Slytherin fraternity. I feel like he and Ursula are either kindred spirits or they're oil and water.

Hi Meggie! Thank you (and Marin!) for all the obvious effort put into this game, gosh.

Diego - Well if that isn't the most flattering reason to be broken up with, I don't know what is. Sign me up!

Reid - Oh, Reid. Your ice prince thing is like catnip to Ursula. What makes him tick? Was that actually an emotion crossing his lips or just gas? If something can break Reid, just imagine how the masses will react. Reid has probably had Ursula grab him as a partner during shared classes a baffling amount of times considering she spends more time just watching him than talking to him.

Calvin - Gosh, that's a hard one. They seem like they have a shared goal of protecting all their ducklings, but the lingering bully probably caused at least one confrontation last year. Buuuut, this is the diplomacy house, so maybe they managed to sort out their differences. Or at least realized they want the same thing even if they don't go about it the same way.

hi! i'm kas, and i've also been pulled out of retirement. back in my day, we didn't have the storage space for all these fancy gifs! rah rah rah!

kurt is also a ribbonfin junior! we have so many now and i love it. he is the most likely culprit for, as her personality says, providing "a passionate explanation of the differences between rabbits and hares." he loves the outdoors and he loves animals, but he's also been very, very shy at gooseberry due to being an introvert with a stutter. this year is His Year and he's going to try and be a Whole New Kurt, which includes extra amounts of Trying to Be Social. ursula is so great!! where do you think kurt fits into her social life?

Oh gosh, hello sweet duckling Kurt. Ursula would have already liked him a lot as is, but she's a 2.0 herself and would love to help Kurt on his journey. If you don't mind, I could see them being good friends - she's doing her required stint in Outdoor Education this year, so maybe he can finally SHOW her the things he's been talking about.

WELCOME MANX!!! omg you're so sweet ;3; For the record I thought Ursula was hilarious, so I'm so glad we could tempt you out of retirement. Oh and this is Marin, as you probably already guessed, haha.

Sy Stoker is URSULA'S NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR. OK, maybe not that that close, but they come from the same neighbourhood and went to the same snooty L.A. school and the Stokers are also incredibly tacky about their wealth and privilege. Oh my god, what's the relationship between their parents?? Sy's half-blood dad also worked/married his way into pureblood society and is basically the Wizard Mayor of Los Angeles. Are they friends?? Or does Jonathan think Rita is an embarrassment and they exchange bitchy bon-mots over champagne during fancy charity balls? (Thoughts????)

Anyway, Sy was probably one of the kids who picked on Ursula before she dropped the Pittsburghese :( but now he's more chill through familiarity. Also Ursula shares a dorm room with Sy's twin sister, Rosemary, and I gotta leave those details up in the air until we get a Rosemary, but they all have to be friends, right? I'm not sure if Sy will also see Ursula as kinda sisterly, or if she's one of those girls he obnoxiously hits on. Or middle school boyfriend back in Port Prep??

OH GOD THIS IS LONG I just got so excited. OK, there's Mina, who is a fashion-conscious competitive overachiever with an acerbic tongue and drama-creating tendencies, which means she can't stand Ursula, of course. :| Ursula's a whole lot better at charming people and "playing the game" than Mina is, but if Ursula dares try to sneak Event Committee from Mina's iron grip, Mina will cut her.

And Ravi is a Ribbonfin a year older than her, and a prefect who may or may not have had to tell Ursula to... please be kind? But he is a Nice Boy who is remarkably tolerant of troublesome personalities, and he can appreciate Ursula's attempts to defend the fish house. Also he is ALWAYS HAPPY TO RECRUIT FOR LARP. It's like improv acting! You get to wear a dress!

SY. Okay, so, yes. I already mentioned the dating bit above, because I am a terrible person and constantly being sister-zoned is hilarious to me. Wizard Mayor of Los Angeles is also hilarious to me and I don't know why. I think just slapping Wizard onto anything makes me laugh. ANYWAY. I think at this point, Rita goes out of her way to be embarassing and gaudy and NO ONE IS GOING TO IGNORE HER. Bitchy notfriends who would dearly miss the other if they weren't around to needle?? I love the champagne image there.

LBR, Sy was totally one of the kids who picked on Ursula, but that's all water under the bridge now. All three being friends is probably a safe bet, or if Rosemary does hate Ursula, Sy is probably like "whoa, not getting in the middle of girl drama" (though I trust him to take Rosemary's side if/when he has to!) Sisterly makes sense to me! I have this image of her dragging him off by the ear when he tries to bother her ducklings, except not really, because he is way taller than her. (Thoughts????)

MINA. I had this dumb thought at work that someone has to have called Ursula Mini Mina at some point and they both despise the nickname. Ursula doesn't find Mina nearly as awful, but UGH, having someone imply she's a knock-off is the WORST. So between Mina's obvious animosity and being sore about the comparisons... I am feeling a frenemy vibe here?????

RAVI. Uhm, we are in the kind sweet gentle house so obviously that is what Ursula always is, gosh. Ugh, Ravi is such a sweetheart and he is such a good prefect that it makes Ursula feel a little guilty causing trouble around him. Buuuut, not necessarily guilty enough to stop. Ursula is not so great at this improv acting thing. She just wants everyone to call her a princess, because who wouldn't want to be a princess???

Hey! I'm Madeline and I'm late to this, I'm sorry :( BUT I've got two in Ursula's same year!

So first there's this girl - Sylla Borgin, Ebonhide junior and Hogwarts transfer student from Slytherin, but not a very good Slytherin as she only really gets competitive with herself. But she's enthusiastic and friendly and can get a bit chirpy and happy, only that the things that get her going are mostly morbid creepy dangerous weird things. She doesn't really get into gossip (unless it involves people who beat up other people and she might see blood if she's watching said fighters), but she likes enthusiasm and friendliness and is a good listener. I think she'd get along well with Ursula! She can kind of understand the heiress new money thing because her family are the infamous Borgins and Burkes, only a generation that was prettier and less greasy and popped out eight kids. . . BUT STILL IT WORKS, KINDA THE SAME IN HER EYES, etc.

And then I've also got Holden Bright -

blinkah, Junior Ribbonfin, Quidditch seeker, and unwittingly hapless Boston jock. He's an ostrich when it comes to drama and conflict but ends up throwing himself under the bus to escape a lot of it, so in some ways he's the opposite of her :p But he's also easily led and swayed (IE, manipulated) and goes with the flow wayyyyyy too much. He also probably has a crush on her, because ugh these cute girls are trying to make his life a living hell.

Oh my goodness, no need to apologize! I snuck in late and there are SO MANY PEOPLE ALREADY. Hi Madeline!

But YAY two yearmates! And a housemate!

SYLLA. I think Ursula is curious about Sylla but isn't quite sure what to do about her yet. Children of the corn aesthetic, whaaaat. She is not at all up on her English wizarding families so doesn't realize that Sylla's last name Means Something. BUT, it looks like they will be in a few classes together, SO I imagine they will get to know each other over time!!

HOLDEN. Ursula enjoys playfully needling her quieter housemates so she probably makes a point of chattering at him. (How can he not want attention for his accomplishments?? This is so bizarre to Ursula.) They're also both in Gaming Club and share a bunch of classes. SO. She would consider him a friend, because her definition of friend is pretty open. But alas, my poor duckling, Ursula is totally oblivious to male attention that isn't a straightfoward "HEY I LIKE YOU" so she will continue to make his life a living hell.

Hi Manx! Sorry this comment is super late but ahhhhh I just wanted to say how much I love Ursula!! Anyway I know Pippa and Ursula have already interacted a little over the journals BUT I just wanted to introduce myself (and my characters) properly, so hello! :D

So, you probably already know Pippa Nightingale (short bio here) a little bit, but basically Pippa will pretty much believe anything Ursula tells her, so have fun with that. ;) Obviously gossip is very wrong but when an older, more popular girl wants to tell you a secret... it would be rude not to listen, right? Pippa will probably end up treating Ursula like a mini Queen Bee, especially if Ursula stands up for her.

My other character is Henrietta Gray (short bio here). She probably finds Ursula amusing and likes inventing rumours for her to spread. Het has the same approach to bullies -- i.e. she doesn't tolerate them, and will kick ass if necessary -- so I think these two would get along pretty well?

Pippa is such a darling and her quest for an American boyfriend is just so cute UGH. I love all the fifth years so much and I am having a hard time resisting picking up a second character so I can play with them more. ;o; Uhm, Ursula loves a good gossip partner and would basically adore Pippa.

HENRIETTA. Yes, please, feed Ursula ridiculous rumors that would be so very, very amazing. They don't seem like they would have any pre-established connection, but yes, totally would get along! :D
