Protocol (tag: Persephone)

[info]walx_in_beauty
Nyx did not like being put in this sort of position. If it were not for the fact that he'd done what he'd don on behalf of their daughter, she would currently be quite put out with her husband. But the fact was Nyx would have done whatever necessary to protect Hybris, just as much as Erebos would. As much as he had. Though she would like to think that she'd manage to do so without the possibility of stepping on the wrong toes.

The youngsters could be so touchy sometimes. )

House on Haunted Hill (Underworld Rulers)

[info]proserpina
It wasn't exactly a formal affair. She didn't want to have everything bogged down by formalities and niceties for the entire night. She enjoyed catching up with other rulers. There were always plenty of stories to share and things to learn from each other. In her experience, the rulers of the dead had a much more interesting view on the world of the living. A lot of gods stopped dealing with people after they bit the dust. The ones that were invited to the party did a lot of the work after that point.

Nothing had been changed for their arrival. The castle, non-drafty, was dark and looming. It had a classic Gothic design. It had dark corners, large stained glass windows which were highlighted by the candlelight. The carpets were all sorts dramatically deep reds mixed with black. The artwork were several macabre pieces. Hades' friend did like to have his fun. )

You Are Invited [Open to Reactions]

[info]proserpina
The little bats had all gathered roosting on the branches of her garden. They fidgeted on the branches and sometimes screeched as she walked by them. Persephone wasn't irritated by the noise, but found comfort in their presence. They were all very excited to be put to use. Usually only one was sent, but for this matter they would all be dispatched to serve her. )

Spring Comes to the Underworld (Tag: Persephone)

[info]notbitter
OOC Note: On November 1st

While he stood at Charon's dock that morning, Hades spent the time by listing all the things he needed to do. Hades needed to get Charon a speedboat.  He needed to get Charon a speedboat, and he needed to find out if Lottie worked with boats. Whether or not she worked with boats, he needed to make her work with Charon's speedboat and get it to go faster. He needed to invent the sort of teleportation that they did in Star Trek and then figure out how to make that work in the Underworld. He needed to move the entire Underworld closer to Olympus. He'd start with that. )

The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports [tag: Everyone Who Wants To!]

[info]theos_hypsistos
Churchill Downs was all a flutter with activity. Which made sense. It was the most exciting two days of the year at the Louisville, Kentucky track. Zeus had been on site since early yesterday. Mostly for networking purposes, as while he had interest in the Oaks -the filly race held on Friday, from a gambling side of things, he had other things on his mind. He had a horse in the Derby.

It was a very tricky business, racing horses. )

Spring Cleaning (Narrative)

[info]proserpina
Some would argue that Spring was the busiest time of the year for Persephone. Those who knew her above ground had no idea, what it was like when she got home in the winter. Regardless, shaking off the cold was no easy feat. She'd call both about even. She really only had to start everything up. It was her mother that maintained. It was Demeter that was the true artist and curator of the garden that was the world. Persephone just prettied things up here and there and helped out. It didn't mean that it wasn't some big to do.

There was always much to do. It wasn't just the plants that needed to be woken up, but the animals needed a nudge too. A month in and she still hadn't gotten to everything. Winter spread so swiftly, but it took ages to undo the mess. She didn't feel bad about leaving the earth to rest for three to four months out of the year, but that was partially because humans enjoyed the change in seasons as well. There were fond memories there. )
