Who: Elizabeth Bennett and OPEN What: First night in town When: October 24, evening Where: Home/Walking around Rating: G
Over the course of the afternoon and well into the evening hours, Elizabeth thought of little else than the strangeness of this place she had arrived at sometime in the morning. By some calamitous turn of events--perhaps this was God banishing her for a sin she once committed, or maybe she had fallen ill while walking to town and had been picked up by some passer-by and left here to be nursed back to proper health--she had entered this town which she knew nothing of, save its lacking abundance of residents.
Her current lodging was not unlike Longbourne. It was just as large and provided the same necessities Elizabeth would have found in her own home. Its most striking difference was that Elizabeth appeared to be its only inhabitant. The kitchen was pleasantly stocked with food--plenty of tea, potatoes, parsnips, what appeared to be mutton, and a single fillet of cod. While Elizabeth wasn't particularly familiar with the practice of cooking such meals, she would sooner eat a ruined fillet of cod than starve.
Growing uneasy from being alone for so long--she was not accustomed to such long periods of seclusion with four sisters--Elizabeth left the house and headed into the main part of town, searching for someone who might shed light on her mysterious new situation.
