"War..." Elizabeth shivered at the thought that she and Kirk had been recruited for some sort of war. Something like that was way out of her realm of imagination. She couldn't possibly have anything to offer that couldn't be found in other more qualified persons. She knew a handful of people from England who would be more suited to be in her current position, assuming an army was what was being created at all. "Where I come from, women normally gain value by marrying well or being born into money. I cannot say I have spent much time reflecting on my strong suits...they have never been needed, I suppose."
She smiled slightly as Kirk related his proposed actions if he'd been sent four hundred years into the future. While she was surprised for not yelling and screaming herself, she thought perhaps the initial shock really hadn't set in yet, and later in the night she would start to really freak out. Or maybe she wouldn't. Elizabeth had always been very level-headed in stressful situations.
"Shout to the skies all you want, Mr. Kirk. My standards regarding strange things have most definitely been raised beyond men shouting towards, well, essentially nothing..." Elizabeth laughed. If they were at the point of shouting to beings in the sky whose existence was more or less theoretical, it was time to keep moving. "You have likely seen much more of the town than I have thus far. How about you provide me a grand tour?"
