"America, truly?" Elizabeth couldn't help but giggle. She had never spent much thought on America--it wasn't her place, really--but she just could not seem to envision this man in America. Perhaps the American choice of acceptable fashions was different, but could not expect it to be this different. Considering the days events, however, Elizabeth concluded to look past Mr. Kirk's attire. Surely this would not be the last strange occurrence she would happen on.
"I'm afraid I am quite as unfamiliar with this Starfleet as I am with your America. I dare say we are both outside of our respective habitats, Mr. Kirk," Elizabeth said.
There were many things she wanted to know about this place and how she had gotten here. She didn't know if this Jim Kirk could provide any conclusions she hadn't arrived at herself, but either way, two minds were better than one. Despite the restrictions she would usually abide to in a situation such as this, Elizabeth needed to continue to converse with the only person she felt could help her now, even if he was ill-mannered.
"Have you been fortunate to come upon any other men or women since your arrival here? I have only been here since this morning, and I assure you I have already seen quite my fill of strange things. You being the strangest of them all, I'm sorry to say."
