Loki had tried to stay away from most others during this month, but there was only so much staying away when it seemed like Hel was reigning down on their heads all over again. What was it about this place that seemed to attract all sorts of evil that even he in his worst moments couldn't even think about. There was only so much hiding that he could do.
He had actually reached out to Banner. As far as he knew, the man wasn't currently infected. Not only did he want to check on the status of the others, but he needed to thank the doctor as well. Banner had...made him realize something that, for whatever reason, had never occurred to him before. In Asgard, they were a warrior culture. Loki was not a natural warrior in the same way that Thor had been, he still had been brought up in it and it was all he'd understood for so much time. While he understood on a fundamental level that Midgard had changed much since its primitive times, but Banner had reminded him just how much. Someone reacting to him with threats of violence just made him think of home and thinking that they needed to be taught some lessons. Being reminded that others could feel fear, could feel truly helpless...that was different. That he understood all too well.
Despite what was going on, Loki still couldn't help but think that he couldn't catch this new virus that was going about. He had heard that vampires and the rest could catch it, and it seemed that the good Captain had caught it, but he was still a different species than them. He assumed that he would still be immune. He let Banner pick a place that they both thought would be safe, a small clearing in the forest.
