Connor had been preparing to go to Neal's party when the distress call went from the net to the radios. Shannon had lost track of Bonnie and she was lost in the snow that was beginning to come down harde. The last thing anyone heard was her saying that she would try to find shelter. If the batteries went dead or there was another issue, no one knew, but a couple rescue teams decided to head out to find her. Several people had run out for various reasons, and with the way the snow was coming down it didn't seem like they would be able to get back in time for Neal's party. To say he was concerned was an understatement.
When Rose and Dimitri headed out to find Shannon while Jeremy and Malachi headed out to find Bonnie, Connor decided to take the front tower. The party could go on with those who had no reason to know or worry about how bad the situation may be out there. Connor was hoping for best case scenarios. As the snow fell, people caught out would find shelter. They'd wait to be found and brought back. He didn't want to think about what Glory might do in this case, but he was damned determined to be at the front of the gates if she did pay a visit.
He noted the visitor logs and remembered Faith telling him that Erica was taking on keeping an eye on her. Tyler Lockwood was going to keep track from a distance. Just to make sure nothing went wrong. At least that part was handled. Still, Connor was worried and immediately found Dawn. Things had been tense with them lately, but he hadn't stopped trying to get her to let him back in after their big fight. Even when she didn't want him around, he was not far away, because it was important to him that she stay safe. He didn't want the Summers sisters to be casualties in Glory's return. For a moment, he paused and took in the way the dark hair made her look. It had been his suggestion to dye it, and he was glad she took it. Dawn was always beautiful to him. He'd admitted as much to Spike, but there was something about the way the dark hair framed her pale features that made her look like some sort of work of art. Like the girls that would inspire a man to paint for days without sleep just to get every detail correct.
Shaking those thoughts away for now, he cleared his throat. "I need to skip the party. It's cool if you still want to go, but I wouldn't say no to some help in the tower. We have two search parties out, and several people signed out who haven't reported in yet. I don't want to leave there until we have everyone accounted for." He didn't want to leave her. He didn't say it because he didn't want to start another fight about how she could take care of herself and he needed to back off. He also knew he'd be distracted if she wasn't in that tower with him so he knew exactly where he was. Her company made Sentry easier. He held up a thermos of coffee. "I'm even willing to share coffee that doesn't taste like mud."
