"Well, duh. I learned a while ago to make a weapon out of just about anything. And flame throwers are awesome for annihilating," she responded happily. As she tightened her arms just a little more, the tension in her back and shoulders that she'd been carrying for so long finally seemed to seep out of her, and she closed her eyes after a few seconds.
When his words, so close to her ear, reached her, she gave a faint chuckle against his neck. "So that's why you got me the dye," she joked faintly. After another minute she realized that this was the first time she'd ever deliberately been this close to a guy for this long, and she was feeling something that was both familiar and strange. Finally, she lifted her head so she could meet his eyes, but didn't let go of him. Not yet.
"Did you get any more of those?" It was something of a lame question, but Dawn wasn't really sure what to say at the moment, and so latched on to the last thing they'd been discussing.
