Entry tags:!1997: 08, !incomplete, alecto carrow, bill weasley, charlie weasley, fleur delacour, fred weasley, george weasley, harry potter, hermione granger, lucius malfoy, rabastan lestrange, ron weasley

WHO:Bill, Fleur, Weasleys, Delacours, Order Members, Viktor Krum, Auntie Muriel (SOMEONE NPC HER PLEASE), ect, ect.
WHAT: Wedding reception and attack
WHEN: Saturday August 22.
WHERE: The burrow
NOTES: Mostly here. As for who all was invited. I've kept this to the canon book list, but if you really want a kid there it could probably be tweaked somehow probably through the twins? I don't know.

The burrow had been transformed, and for all the hair pulling and arguing the wedding planning had caused, the place looked divine. The wedding had gone off without a hitch. Gabrielle and Ginny looked amazing, and that was saying nothing for the bride herself and how happy the bride and groom looked. It had only taken a few moments after the wedding ceremony to have the guest chairs magically moved from the aisles and around the tables that were provided.

The weather had held out beautifully even though there were charms placed in the tent kept the temperature inside perfect. The flowers were arranged brilliantly and there were bottles of champagne floating around for anyone who might want a drink.

At this point the best man had said his speech, people were, eating and drinking at the tables, chatting in groups, and dancing on the dancefloor. The pictures had been taken. The celebration was well underway.

A couple more cracks snapped through the chaos, revealing two men who were also dressed in all black. Jugson instantly moved away from Rabastan, raising his wand to begin slinging random spells and just cause absolute havoc while the other man walked very calmly over to take a seat at one of the tables, almost oblivious to the absolute chaos around them.

Rabastan reached over and picked up a plate of cake that had somehow been left untouched. Eyeing the Weasley children -- well, as many as he could while assessing the threats around him -- he took a bite from the cake and let out a sigh, glancing over to where Alecto had flipped over the table and ruined what was left. "Love, you ruined this wonderful cake. They went through all this trouble to set the table for us, and you've gone and destroyed it all."

Jugson just turned back and sneered at Rabastan, obviously irritated that the man that was held in such high favor with their Lord was simply sitting around eating cake.

At the crack of the first Apparation, it took Verity a too long moment to wrap her mind around what was happening, the champagne flute in her hand frozen halfway to her mouth. It wasn't until the lovely wedding cake crumpled to the wet grass and people started screaming that Verity was shocked into movement. She dropped the flute, barely hearing it shatter, and fumbled with the hem of her dress. It seemed like forever before she was able to tug it up enough to yank her wand out of its holder and level it towards the black-cloaked figures.

There were too many people, running and screaming, Verity couldn't get a clear shot. Another pair of cracks sliced through the chaos and she raised her wand, opening her mouth when one of the men shot off a spell casually. Unable to cast protego in time, Verity instinctively moved, the spell hitting her in the shoulder instead of the chest, the force of it sending her spinning backwards into a row of chairs that collapsed on top of her.

The sounds of apparation were unmistakeable, and Fred processed what was happening and had his wand in his hand a little faster than some of those around him - but the sharp, cold sort of fear at the last time they'd been around Death Eaters kept him planted for a moment, eyes on George.

But that was George, and this was his whole bloody family and all of his friends. And there were people here who didn't have a clue what was going on, or what the Order was, and there was Verity, who'd just had a bloody birthday and who he'd dragged along and as soon as he thought of her he was sprinting toward where she was between the bulk of some guests and the Death Eaters.

Sodding brilliant girl, really, and Gryffindor brave like anything because she wasn't a part of this at all, really, and he could still see that she was leveling her wand on one of the bastards - then she was hit, and collapsing, and Fred wasn't even aware he was hexing until he saw Jugson vomiting after his curse and turning on him instead.

The glass fell from Charlie's hand as the Death Eaters began their attack. The man fumbled it and caught the piece of crystal, hardly believing what was going on. Chaos had erupted at the wedding, and Charlie found himself drawing his wand in his spare hand and snapping off return fire.

Yet he was concerned about hitting one of their guests, if not his own family. His eyes fell to Jugson, who was now vomiting from the curse his brother had used, and an idea came to his mind. Drawing back the glass in his hand he threw it -- though it never actually reached the intended target. A stray spell of who knows what sort caught the glass in midair, causing it to shatter and rain down shards of glass over the Death Eater, to which Charlie grimly grinned.

"Fred! George!" He shouted, looking to catch his brothers' attention for just a moment. "Dopplebeater Defence!" He had to hope that the two would quickly reconnect to their Quidditch formations and see what he was getting at.
