Entry tags:!1997: 08, !incomplete, alecto carrow, bill weasley, charlie weasley, fleur delacour, fred weasley, george weasley, harry potter, hermione granger, lucius malfoy, rabastan lestrange, ron weasley

WHO:Bill, Fleur, Weasleys, Delacours, Order Members, Viktor Krum, Auntie Muriel (SOMEONE NPC HER PLEASE), ect, ect.
WHAT: Wedding reception and attack
WHEN: Saturday August 22.
WHERE: The burrow
NOTES: Mostly here. As for who all was invited. I've kept this to the canon book list, but if you really want a kid there it could probably be tweaked somehow probably through the twins? I don't know.

The burrow had been transformed, and for all the hair pulling and arguing the wedding planning had caused, the place looked divine. The wedding had gone off without a hitch. Gabrielle and Ginny looked amazing, and that was saying nothing for the bride herself and how happy the bride and groom looked. It had only taken a few moments after the wedding ceremony to have the guest chairs magically moved from the aisles and around the tables that were provided.

The weather had held out beautifully even though there were charms placed in the tent kept the temperature inside perfect. The flowers were arranged brilliantly and there were bottles of champagne floating around for anyone who might want a drink.

At this point the best man had said his speech, people were, eating and drinking at the tables, chatting in groups, and dancing on the dancefloor. The pictures had been taken. The celebration was well underway.

Charlie cradled a glass of what appeared to be juice in his right hand, swishing it around and around in the glass between sips. He'd never been so proud of Bill as he was today, and while he couldn't stop smiling, he felt the entire world go numb during his speech. It had gone well, without a hitch really, and he felt better now. He'd said nothing about his new position except to his younger brothers; he felt that he'd wait another few days so that Bill and Fleur could have their spotlight.

Taking a seat at the head table, he leaned on his elbows to watch the crowd. He recognised about half of the people there, and the other half he knew he'd never get away from. He'd spent the morning trying to duck away from their mother, but eventually she caught him and trimmed his hair up a bit -- and the heckling and compliments began once he'd pulled on his tux. It had mostly been in jest, and he took it well, but he felt like a child all over again -- something, he thought in retrospect, he'd felt like a lot recently.

He shook his head a few times and took another sip from the glass in his hand. At least everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in these times.

Fred had made some offcolour jokes here and there, but for the most part he'd been on his best behaviour during the ceremony. He had a new sort of respect for Bill, really. He'd managed to keep his hair long, have a brilliantly exciting job (though not as brilliant or as exciting as Fred's own, of course) be part of the Order and go about helping to keep the world save and what not and he'd found a really fit bird to marry and have babies with, etcetera. All in all, as Fred watched Bill vow his life away to Fleur, he'd been a little impressed with the whole thing.

Not that he expected to ever, ever do it himself. But still.

Now he went straight for the champagne, largely because it was where Aunt Muriel was not. She'd seen him heading his and George's way and ducked behind Lee to make his way across the garden. He stopped by Charlie, though, catching a glass and taking a drink. "Oi. Where are Fleur's cousins? They don't speak English, so it would take them longer to slap me."

Hermione was anxious, that was the word for it. At the reception she could hardly stay in a seat, and she kept glancing over to Harry in that ridiculous disguise (well, it was a rather good disguise) and thinking over and over to herself how stupid it was that he was out in public this way. At Hogwarts it would be different - they'd be safer, and things would be at least a bit more normal. But here? With people they didn't know milling about. She didn't like it.

The one bright moment had been seeing Viktor again. She hadn't missed Ron's scowl as she'd hugged him, or the one he wore now that she was sitting at a table with him, trying to keep up a conversation catching up between glances at Harry checking to be sure he was still alive.

Harry kept catching himself wanting to reach up and fuss with his newly red, shorter hair, or adjust glasses that weren't actually there, just now. He had them tucked in a pocket of his robes, just in case, but it was just weird, having them off and seeing fine.

It felt weird to just stand about at a party after what they'd found, but Harry didn't want to take away from the wedding at all. He was trying to stay out of the way of most people. The family all knew who he was, but to the rest he was just a Weasley cousin - red-haired appearance stolen from a muggle bloke. He was about two inches taller, too. That part at least he could get used to.

He saw Hermione looking at him and gave her a wry smile and a shrug. They were all right. For now, at least. Harry had seen Ron scowling too. At least Ron was entertaining.

George was hot on Fred's heels, mostly because Muriel was eying them like she wanted to offer up some words of ancient, terrifying hag wisdom, and George had already had to listen to her expound on something - he'd forgotten what already - earlier. Once was as much as a bloke could be expected to take an an evening.

Fleur had forced all pockets to be emptied and been a bit scary about the possible consequences of any WWW products making their way into the wedding. So George was eying the plethora of refreshments and silently lamenting lost opportunity as he snatched Fred's champagne away. (Nevermind that he could have just got his own.)

He could still see Muriel, so he attempted to shrink down and look shorter than he was so he could hide on Fred's other side. "Yeah, but they might have claws when they DO slap," he reminded his twin, finishing off the drink before Fred could take it back, sneezing as the bubbles tickled at his nose.

George should probably congratulate the bride and groom at some point, he supposed. Actually he could take care of that now. "OI! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING LEG SHACKLED FOR LIFE!" he called to them. From where he stood. Right. Taken care of.
