Characters: Maeve Sheridan and Delaney Twilfitt
Setting: Friday evening, after business hours, at Maeve's flat.
Summary: Another dinner after another awkward exchange.
Rating: PG for the moment, but let's say TBD to be safe considering the participants.

Maeve shouldered open the door to her flat, holding onto her oversized bag of Chinese take away with both arms. It was so easy, with Chinese food, to over order and Maeve was no exception. She glanced at her journal before shoving it aside to unload the bag, sure without even glancing that Delaney would accept the invitation and Apparate in shortly. Regardless, she waved her wand at the food and placed a warming charm on it.

She dug a corkscrew out of the utensil drawer, uncorked a bottle of red she had sitting on the counter and pulled out both of the wineglasses she owned. Sitting down on one of the stools she had at the counter she settled in and poured herself a glass while she resisted the urge to start eating. She swirled the wine around in the glass before she took a sip and pulled a copy of the Practical Potioneer toward her, leaning on the counter as she flipped through the pages, looking for the most interesting article.

"Doing even better," She murmured, leaning into Delaney eagerly. It certainly wasn't telly or chatting or anything mundane like she was beginning to suspect was impossible when Delaney was around, but it was quite enjoyable.

Delaney leaned her head down further, breathing hotly on Maeve's ear, then taking her earlobe between her teeth, tugging gently before sucking lightly. "And now?" she went on, giggling a little, her hand slipping between their bodies and up Maeve's shirt. "Maeve? Can I ask you something?"

Maeve moaned softly and leaned in closer to Delaney's touch. The giggle and sudden question weren't what she was expecting and she blinked, pulling back just enough to raise an eyebrow curiously. "Now?" she asked, before she could rephrase to something less surprised.

Her hand had just made its way to Maeve's breast, and she began to caress it delicately when she heard Maeve's response.

"Will you," she began huskily, "please, baby, will you... get me a drink?"

She burst into giggles, burying her face in Maeve's neck, peppering the skin there with soft kisses.
