Who: Percy Weasley and Neville Longbottom What: A conversation about what Neville's been hiding, in more than one respect. Where: Blackpool, England When: Saturday, June 6 Rating: PG-13 if kissing bothers you
By ten at night, the ferris wheel was beginning to wind down as Neville watched it, his sunburnt cheek pressed against the knee that he'd curled against his chest as he sat on the bench, feet half-falling off of it. The spires slowed, pausing long enough to let people down, one after another, as passengers began to embark, its tiny lights twinkling in the distance. From where he was, everyone looked the same, their faces gentle blurring smiles - or at least he could imagine them that.
It was strangely comforting here, as it always had been, smelling the salt air of the water and watching the crowds as they milled far distant. There was something about being on the edges of everything that made him feel at home. He dug out his notebook, writing a few more lines on the piece that he had been working on, his fingernails bitten down to the quick. He rubbed his nose, forgetting that he'd ink on his fingers, and went back to it furiously, trying to capture the thoughts inside his mind.
( That word brought him back down into the atmosphere. ) |

Fleur and Percy go for ice cream |
[Jun. 7th, 2009|08:42 pm] |
Who: Fleur Weasley and Percy Weasley What: Family chat When: Sunday afternoon, 7 June Where: Hyde Park, near the Serpentine
Fleur had let Percy buy her an ice cream cone at the stand near the Serpentine bridge and now they were walking along together, enjoying the afternoon sun. It was warm, although the heat of the summer had not yet made itself completely known, and Fleur had dressed accordingly: modestly enough that she couldn't be accused of leading men on with her charms, but not too warmly. She was glad of Percy's company. For all that she could take care of herself, she did worry about overly-aggressive Muggle men sometimes. |
