[Backstory] Seamus/Neville |
[Mar. 29th, 2009|03:06 pm] |
Who: Seamus Finnegan and Neville Longbottom What: Their last year of school Where: DADA class and then the Gryffindor dorm When: Late April of 1998 Rating: PG-13 for language, violence
There was no class left that Neville Longbottom didn't hate.
He forced himself to go every day, regardless, his head held high as he stepped into the room, ignoring the way that the Carrows looked at him. It was not uncommon for Alecto to reach out and slap him in the face or for Amycus to call him out for his weight in front of the others, the sound always followed by the cackling of the Slytherins in the room. Neville had long since discovered that the more one experienced, the less it hurt.
He hoped, as the wand dug into his ribs, then Seamus', that it proved still true today.
( They'd learned pretty fast that just hurting him didn't do much - make him hurt his friends, though, and it was likely they'd break him faster. ) |

[Backstory] Hermione/Samrat - 1 of 3 |
[Mar. 29th, 2009|08:26 pm] |
Who: Hermione Granger and Samrat Amarnath What: A chat leads to a trip to the boat, an altercation of sorts between the Amarnaths, an altercation between Hermione and Samrat, then a whole lot of talking. Where: London When: mid-March 2009 Rating: PG-13 to R for language, description of violence (and because I'm too lazy to rate individually - *g*) Notes: 1 of 3
Hermione put her duster away in the front wardrobe and surveyed her flat critically, looking for inadequacies in its tidiness. All was perfectly in order. A decent vegetarian meal sat in preparation in her refrigerator, in case he could be convinced to stay for supper.
It was too bad she would have to begin from such a disadvantageous position, but... it could be worse.
( It's not a fight, Samrat. A struggle, yes. But it's only a fight if we make it one. ) |

[Backstory] Hermione/Samrat - 2 of 3 |

Who: Hermione Granger and Samrat Amarnath What: A chat leads to a trip to the boat, an altercation of sorts between the Amarnaths, an altercation between Hermione and Samrat, then a whole lot of talking. Where: London When: mid-March 2009 Rating: PG-13 to R for language, description of violence (and because I'm too lazy to rate individually - *g*) Notes: 2 of 3
As they stepped into the small walkway of the yacht's rooms, it became apparent that what he had said was true. There was evidence as they passed through of some life in the crew quarters - a rumpled bed, a cigarette stubbed down in an ashtray - but little more looked lived in. He stopped when they came to the office, pushing the door open so that she could step inside. Maps still covered the desk, not all of them new. Some of them were written on, the swirling lines of Sam's handwriting breaking the crisp font beneath.
"This is where the thinking happens," he said with a grin. "Or lack thereof."
( In the movies... a man pulls a trigger and it ends. ) |

"How are you getting home? Or will you be here overnight?"
"I'll walk." It was said through clenched lips.
( We met under death-shadows... ) |
