I don't understand the point of yesterday. The celebrating, the - fireworks? - the party and everything. This is how you grieve in this world? ~~How you put people to rest?~~

Where I'm from just before I got here isn't where I used to live, but...just before I got here, we'd lost two people. Kurt and Na my dad. We were in the middle of fighting for our lives, but...they made time to lay Kurt to rest. To give him the - last rites? - like he'd want. And after my dad...they waited until I was awake again and then we had a sort of service for him. We won the battle but...there wasn't any celebrating.

	I imagine we'll do something like that for those we've lost when we're a little more settled, if they aren't brought back to life first. That does have a habit of happening sometimes, apparently. That would be something I'd classify as to why we were brought here. Apparently a little over a year ago there was an apocalypse. A few of the people who are still here fought in it, and most people assumed that was the end of it. I think whatever happened in the graveyard was associated with that, and since originally the displaced were brought here by the Seal to fight in the apocalypse, it's all tied together.
