Oh yeah.

That sounds like him. Elijah can go to pretty dark places sometimes. He tries to do the right thing, but often forgets what that is.

You did, kind of? I don't know. It's complicated. You were better to me than the rest of them though. I think maybe I was better off in death, even with the ancestors so angry with me... At least there people couldn't use me.

I'm a thousand years old, I lived through centuries were women were thought of as the lesser sex, where we were looked down on, degraded, used. And as much as people like to claim times now are more enlightened, it's not nearly enlightened enough. You should hear the way Klaus talks to me sometimes. Brothers are a pain.

Fair. It must have been so much harder then. I kind of have to agree, though...not nearly enlightened enough. But then, the people I've been dealing with came from all those older times so backwards thinking?

I'm not using my magic anymore. Not for me or for anyone. I don't want to. I just...it's too risky. They said if I misused it again, terrible things would happen to me. I don't think it's that simple.

Some of the fashions were a nightmare too. If the covens of New Orleans today are anything like the ones I used to know, backwards is putting it nicely.

If you don't want to use your magic, no one should force you. Do what you want though. Don't let anyone tell you what to do, ancestors or otherwise.

One of the things here is "fictional" characters are real. Including Lily Luna Potter and Hugo Weasley. If you wanted to spend time with any magical types. Or there's so many others, from different worlds.

Well, I know what it's like to live under the control of my brother. And from the sounds of it, you never deserved that kind of treatment.

Okay, well there are the demons. There are also angels. This world is basically biblical, we just dealt with the Lucifer vs Michael apocalypse. There are people who were characters in comic books and fairytales running around. Witches from other realities, even a couple of demigods.

He's the same to everyone. He has his reasons, he's had a harsh life, we all have. Doesn't make the way he treats people okay, obviously, but it's kind of understandable, in a weird way. I stick with him because he's family and I love him. But no one else should have to. You have the right to choose your own path.

Pretty much. Superman's here. The Lois I mentioned? Lois Lane. She's awesome.

I wouldn't expect you to. My brother has done horrible things, truly terrible ones. Well, you know, you've apparently seen him actually trying to kill me. I'd never expect anyone else to forgive him the way I do. Family and all.

There are a lot of good people here who would be willing to help you and protect you. And anyone tries to hurt you, they'll have to answer to me. You seem like a good kid, and it looks like my family owes you. You never have to tell anyone that I'm helping you if you don't want to, just remember to ask me if you need anything, okay?
