So, lemme get this straight. Lucifer, Apocalypse, trapped, some kind of sentient seal thing over Lucifer's cage in hell decided I was useful to the fight and pulled me out of LA to do it.

Not the strangest thing I've ever heard, which is probably kind of depressing. But then my world has demonic overlords and Hellmouths so...

That said for as long as I'm here, might as well make myself useful. Anything for a lawyer to do round here.Names Lindsey McDonald and believe me, I have the experience.  I don't have any papers or anything obviously but people here can vouch for my credentials. Not y'know, pleasantly, or anything, but they can

[Lilah]

You keeping out of trouble?

I remember the deadlines well, and that was without the devil breathing down my neck. Well, mostly without

Has to be harder when you're native and dead, the information there, its just doing it without setting off any system alerts. This Connor must be good.

Just realized how blase I must have sounded about your death there, sorry. Its just not the most shocking thing I've heard over the years.

This apocalypse? Not my first rodeo.

Any advice?!

He's the best. Managed to get the college credits I had from before, transferred them here so I could slip in as if I never left. Mostly.

Eh. The dying part was easy compared to being possessed for the year leading up to it. My grudge against the demons is more than a little personal.

Coffee, try not to sell your soul, try not to fall asleep through tort in year 3 and more coffee. Espressos if there's a deadline.

A year...damn, its impressive you're still sane, let alone back from the dead. We don't have demons that strictly do that at home but I know possessions well and people break, you can't blame 'em but they break

Not much danger in me selling my soul. The demon in charge of making deals for them is around here. Sarcastic asshole. Good thing I'm already a lover of coffee.

Bitch is still out there, somewhere, possessing some other girl. I'm going to find her and I will end her. She kept me awake during the year, made me watch. My sanity is basically because I am going to take my life back. Become a lawyer like I originally planned, and kick demonic ass at the same time. While making friends with Disney princesses!

Crowley, right. He seems alright, wanted my soul but seemed reasonable when I told him no.

Sounds reasonable to me. Kill away when you find her then do what you need to do to become a lawyer.

...Disney Princesses?

He's a douche. We really don't get along.

As life plans go, I like to think it's simple and achievable.

Yeah, one of my best friends is Belle. Though her 'Beast' is actually Rumplestiltskin, who actually a really nice guy. Also there's Snow White's adult daughter here. Who is dating the Huntsman.

There's also two versions of the Mad Hatter, from two very different Wonderlands here.

And Lois Lane. And her boyfriend, Superman.

You have been filled in on all that, right?!

Eh, he reminds me of some of my clients. But I can see why you wouldn't like the guy.

...I had not.

Seriously? Superman?

And isn't Rumplestilskin the one where if you know his name you get stuff out of him?

Did you have evil clients?

Lois Lane is more impressive. Just saying.

Not this version. This one is also big with the making deals, only souls aren't involved. And he's got remarkably good taste.

Yeah, 'fictional' characters are real here. It's awesome.

Mostly, yes. Defence counsel you don't always have to like who you work with.

I'm sure she is.

So what are the deals for if not souls? Its gonna take some getting used to, have to admit.

Did you ever like who you worked with?

You'd have to ask Rumplestiltskin that part. But I don't think he's making the deals here anyway. He doesn't need to.

Is that you finding out how ethical and moral I am? Honestly, most of them were scum, lower than scum, over half weren't even human.

It was rare there was one I liked, but the job was defend them. So I did.

Less compitition for the demons then I suppose?

Ethics and morals can get blurred very easily.

You alright with those choices?

Also, he's not a demon. Makes a big difference, I couldn't be friends with him if he was.

They really really can.

I sorta had to be. But I don't work there anymore. Turned out I had a moral line, I found where it was.

Figure that makes sense

I've heard the trick is to not lose yourself in the process.

Having a moral line is good. It's a start anyway.

Maybe it makes me a bigot of some kind, I just can't be okay with demons. There's two here I don't kill, that's as much as I can manage.

Not always that easy with some law firms.

Sometimes its all you wind up left with of yourself.

From what you've said, it doesn't make you a bigot. You've got reason for your opinions, good reasons at that

With yours?

I suppose what matters is can you live with yourself.

I think most of us here have issues with demons. Though some can see the differences with the two here.

You should come by some of the classes some time. I teach Demons 101 with an actual demon. Ruby.
