Okay guys. I didn't really do this part yesterday what with the whole HOLY CRAP WHAT IS THIS thing going through my brain, so I figured better slightly late than never, right?

My name is Stephanie Brown. I'm 19 and a fighter/psudo-detective, but I hear that there's already lots of fighters around but one more can't hurt, right? And I don't mean I go out looking to cause trouble or anything like that, I just do the whole standing-up-for-the-right-thing thing. And I've been doing that since I was 14.

Oh, and I'm from Gotham City.

So, once my brain settles some more I'm going to want to help around here somehow. I hear we're in a bit of an Apocalypse situation and, you know, hopefully that can be stopped.

PS: And since my life story is on the internet anyway, I might as well point out that I'm Batgirl. It's so weird being able to tell people that...

I guess Lois already recruited you to the patrol schedule. I'll add you to it when you're ready, but you'll need to stop by Watchtower and get a communicator.

Yeah, she did. And that's fine! I'm used to communicators and central-hub-towers. Does it have lots of super high-tech equipment that I couldn't hope to understand in it? If so you're gonna need to dye your hair red.

There is a lot of high-tech equipment and if you want to try to understand it, I'll be happy to try to explain.

...But why would I have to dye my hair?

I can pretty much promise you that I won't understand anything you try to explain. Seriously. That's why I've got Babs and Wendy. They do the tech, I do the hitting.

Because you're reminding me a lot of Babs right now, and she's got red hair.

Understood. I'm pretty much all tech, but I'm trying to learn the hitting part. Or, more like self-defense, I guess.

Oh, you mean Oracle, right? I've heard about her... I guess what we do is pretty similar.

At least I can admit that I'm less than awesome with the tech part!

That'd be the one. And Wendy is Proxy. From what I know so far you're a lot alike.

That is a virtue. But it's good to know at least a little bit of both sides, just in case.

I can't say I'm familiar with Wendy, but from what I read about Barbara, I suppose I should take that as a compliment.

I know some basics, at least? But then Babs starts using the big tech words and my eyes start to cross. I'll give it a try though.

Wendy's pretty great. It took a little while for her to catch up, but she's getting almost as good as Babs.

As long as you know enough to be able to call for back-up if you need, I think we're good.

I'm still playing catch up myself. My future self was actually the one who built the equipment and programmed everything, two years in my future and she's been doing this much longer and me, so there are things here and there that I'm still figuring out.

Yeah, that's a lesson I learned the hard way a while back. Oh! And if it's alright, Peter convinced me to wait a while before starting on patrols here. Apparently there's demons and I've never really dealt with those before, so I need to find out how to get rid of them. Because ew. And also because I'm not in a rush to go and get killed.

But hey, you've got tech skills in the first place! And if you know that you in the future reached the point of getting it all, then you can probably be pretty sure that you can get it, too. :)

It's how it usually goes. And no rush at all, whenever you feel ready, you can start. And you can go with a partner at first if that'd make you more comfortable, I'm sure Oliver wouldn't mind.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It's not that hard, but I guess it helps a lot that I'm the one who put it together, kinda.

You don't mean Oliver as in Green Arrow, do you? Aren't I sort of way too second-rate for that?

Any time!

I do mean him, why would you think you're second-rate to begin with? If you're willing to be out there fighting and helping people, there's no such thing as far as I understand.

Back home the second-tier people rarely ever get partnered with Justice League people. Unless we have a direct connection. Like I'm Batgirl (formerly Spoiler, and for a short while Robin), I operate in Gotham City 99% of the time, therefor I work with Batman every once in a while. And Oracle, but that's a given.

Oh. Well, that's different... where I'm from, we're all one team. Some of the others might patrol in their own cities nightly, but when it's something big, we all go in together.

But here, well we're all centered around Lawrence anyway and whatever bad guys that got pulled by the seal are too, so it makes sense for everyone to stick around.

That's neat though! I don't know, I guess I'm just used to it being the way it is. I haven't even met a lot of the heroes that are out there. There's way too many of us to know everyone.

And it's totally understandable here! Kinda like the big team-ups back in Gotham when something heavy hits there in particular.
