It would only kill you if you have prolonged exposure to it. I've seen Clark come back from having it near him many times. It's only to weaken him.

If need be, have Connor use it on him, or someone else you trust.

My goal here is not to kill Clark. Only to prevent him from hurting innocents.

I don't like it any better than you, but it's all I can come up with on short notice to prevent Clark from becoming another Zod. I wish you'd just trust me
