I'll be doing a few subheaders. Pre fight, Battle, Hellbound and Aftermath. Tag into any of these and if you want another subthread made ask me or MJ so it looks all tidy and whatnot.

I'm also gonna suggest cutting comms from the battle to the aftermath down to bare mimimum communications while the main battle threads go on to keep it a little bit real time. If you have to for time constraint reasons please mark it post battle

She knew bringing the Impala was the best plan she had to annoy Dean into fighting back. Blaring the Doors didn't help probably but hell, she thought it was appropriate. Break On Through. Oh she planned to. She wondered for a moment if she saw the angel that was contained within Dean twitch for a moment and hoped against hope that Sean was fighting it. She swung the keys around her finger for a moment before nodding to Jules and leaving her to that conversation. Michael wouldn't hurt her. No, her fight was this, her fight was him.

And he probably would hurt her.

She strode across the field, through the battle lines, bringing only death in her wake. Demons fell to her knife, dozens maybe until she reached him, faced off against Michael and ready for the end. And Ruby paused, just in front of the archangels and turned to the one that had created her kind, the one who had caused all this, the one she used to worship, and the one of course, who wore her husband.

"I want to talk to him. You need to give me that before this happens, before everything. For what you said I was, for the fact you were proud of me, can you just give me that. Please." Sad fact was she expected a no, she was even prepared for a no, but she had to ask.

Lucifer had been all too engulfed in his conversation with his brother to bother with anyone else. They were nothing. They couldn't harm him they certainly wouldn't be foolish enough to try. The real threat stood before him. His brother. His blood. Michael would do everything he could to see to it that the only real end today saw was Lucifer's and that was something that Lucifer would never allow. Michael had to go, no matter how much the idea of taking the life of an archangel pained him.

It was for the greater good. It was for this planet. For their family. For him.

Lucifer watched his brother closely, preparing for the very moment in which Michael would attempt to strike him. Yet, before Michael was able to drive in his first attack, they were interrupted by a tiny flurry of dark hair and an even darker soul.

Ruby. The demon. Nothing more than vermin and she had decided to intervene over her feelings for Sam Winchester. Lucifer looked down at her, his emotions - usually masked quite well - bleeding out openly at the sight of such a small creature getting in the way of family business.

He was angry. Furious, in fact. The cold look that reflected from his vessel's eyes would have been enough to send any sane being running in the opposite direction, but Lucifer knew that Ruby wouldn't do that. Her heart had overwhelmed every last bit of her sense.

"Walk away. Die painlessly." Lucifer grabbed her by the shoulder and pushed her aside all too roughly. "If you get between me and my brother again, I will beat you down so badly that they'll find nothing but dust where you once stood."

It was a fair offer. If she refused, she would regret it. He would make her.

She couldn't walk away. Oh she probably should have, and she knew on some level Sam was in there screaming at her just to go but she needed to be here. She needed to see this through because she loved him and because this thing before her was the being she had feared and loved for so long. And all she could do was stand there, hold her ground against the worst of evils but she was doing this for Sam, for their family, and yeah on some weird level where she cared about people, probably even for the world.

She was terrified. But right then she was probably less than sane. So she shook her head. Refused to move.

"No, no, he tried to stop you and he failed, its my turn now, my turn to give him strength to fight just a little bit more. My turn to remind him no matter how dark and cold it might be where he is that he needs to look at me, look at Dean, and remember that there are people that love him. He needs to rememeber Emily. His little girl, our Princess, right? Come on babe I know you're still in there."

Ruby wouldn't talk to Lucifer, she was done with that. She wouldn't listen to his lies or his tricks. She'd focus on her husband no matter what came next.

"He needs to rememebr that I love him."
