I'll be doing a few subheaders. Pre fight, Battle, Hellbound and Aftermath. Tag into any of these and if you want another subthread made ask me or MJ so it looks all tidy and whatnot.

I'm also gonna suggest cutting comms from the battle to the aftermath down to bare mimimum communications while the main battle threads go on to keep it a little bit real time. If you have to for time constraint reasons please mark it post battle

At some point her legs gave way and she sank to the ground, pulling whoever was holding her with her. The sobs showed no sign of letting up, even as she gasped and shook, still trying to claw her way free, as futile as the gesture was. There was no point. The Cage was closed, nothing more than a patch of dusty grass again. No sign that two of the most important people in her life had been ripped away.

Part of her knew she should find people, and she became slowly aware of just who was holding her, recognizing the coat sleeve around the arm holding her back. Jack. The moment she realized it, it was as though the fight had left her body and she turned in his arms, letting the tears flow as she buried her face in his shoulder and clung to him with all she had, sobbing until there were just no tears left in her.

"We need... we should..." The words were mumbled into his shoulder, and barely coherent as her voice shook. "Find people... The Doctor...Guy... Becker?" God, where were any of them? Had they seen? Were they alive? "We have to get them back, we have to, Jack, tell me we'll get them back."

Jack shook his head, he hadn't seen Becker. Not yet, he saw him fighting, right in the heart of it in fact. Where else would he be? But since then, no. No sign, and it was killing him. But he needed to make sure that Martha was okay first. She needed to be okay. There was no choice. "I'll find Becker, I've seen Sir Broody and the Doctor, last I saw all alive, so don't think about that. There are people hurt. People out there still so hurt, and you need to be Doctor Jones now. They need that from you. When this is all done, you and me, we can find a way to get our people out, to get everyone out. But not this second okay?"

He kissed her on the forhead and pulled her into a tight hug. He needed her to be okay, he would need her, and he knew she would need him. For a few moments they'd cry, they'd mourn. It would hurt. But when that was done. They'd need to be the people the Doctor had made them.

They'd need to keep up the fight. Do whatever it took. All of it.

"We'll get them back Martha. I promise you, okay? We'll get them back"

He was right. Of course he was. Martha needed to be Doctor Jones, needed to tend to the wounded, to fix what she could, and get through the next few hours in one piece before she could finally let herself cry for Tony and for Rose. That last image of Rose with the golden eyes, the Bad Wolf, it was haunting. And Tony. God, Tony, her sexy agent, who laughed so easily and let her steal his popcorn. What was even happening to them?

She buried her face in Jack's shoulder, just for a bit longer, taking a few shuddering breaths as she calmed herself down, taking comfort in the oh so familiar scent of that coat and the man inside it. When she felt that little bit able to, she lifted her face towards his, weirdly noticing just how short she was compared to him. It was fitting really, she had never felt tinier in her life. "We'll get them back." She echoed his words firmly.

"We need to find our people." There, action. Something concrete. "Find Becker, make sure he's alright. See if Guy's understood what's happened. And the Doctor." Her expression became worried. "I don't know this him so well. We need to find him, Jack. We need to make sure he's alright."
